Helped me with our new puppy.

Having just purchased two Cavaliers, I wanted to prepare for their appropriate training. This book was not only helpful with training, also, was comprehensive in many other areas. I would recommend this book for any new puppy parents.

Good reading and info about the breed.

The book is fine but does not include any information about breeding! I wanted a book on breeding Cavaliers. Disappointing.

Had one visit the hospital, fell in love. Now I have to have one. Lots of good into on why's and why nots before you make the plunge.

Book arrived in good condition and is a good training book for dogs.

There might be good information in this book, but the print is so small it's frustrating and ridiculous. I've tried reading it several times and have stop because it drives me crazy wondering why they would make the print so small?

Good book

This book has really given me a lot to think about and given me a lot more detailed breed specific information than I was expecting. The book is spot on in terms of the characteristics and understanding the Cavalier. All of the chapters are in-depth and give great, clear guidance for successfully caring for these sweet natured dogs. The training sections; early obedience and advanced training are very clearly laid out and helpful as are the health, nutrition, potential behaviour issues etc. I was impressed with the information provided in the look inside feature and even more impressed with the quality and detail as I read through each chapter once I bought the book. The book really covers all I needed and more and offers excellent value. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone considering a Cavalier whether puppy, adult or rescue dog!!!

Recently got our 2nd cavalier after a 5 year gap from dog owning. I wanted to refresh my memory on the breed and puppy training and this book is excellent on both.

Such an informative book. I bought another book at the same time and read that first (was smaller book) but this book is so much better it is so detailed. I especially love a chapter near the end of the book where it summarizes on a week by week basis what to do with your puppy and what to expect. The author really concentrates on what to expect with Cavaliers. The book can be used for puppies of all breeds but definitely details what to do with a Cavalier.

I have a King Charles Spaniel puppy and book offered a lot of good points regarding feeding, training, grooming and general care. Wonderful reference to keep on hand always.

A good starter book covering a range of topics.
