Oust Bearings Speed Clean Kit – Citrus Cleaner Included

I like the overall deign of this set. I like being able to both tap and roll the bearings to get the excess cleaner off. The orange solution cleaned the bearings really well.I do not like the fact the containers do not seal well. It is a good thing the little bottle is shipped in the red container. I had a slight film of cleaner on the inside of the red container. When we cleaned our bearings the red container also leaked. We just held a paper towel over the lid to catch the light spray that occurred. Yes, we made sure the lid was closed as well as it could be. The container leakage will keep me from buying this kit again. Redesign the containers to seal better and I would definitely buy this set again.

I was skeptical at the small box at first, but everything I needed was in there. They went above and beyond with extra stickers included which made this purchase much more satisfying

Got this over the bones one because it came with citrus cleaner (just enough to clean 1 to 2 sets of bearings) and it it shallower than the bones kit which means potentially can use less cleaner and takes up less space. So far, so good! cleaned multiple sets of bearings and working great. I recommend ZEP citrus cleaner. I can get a spray bottle for 5 bucks at my Ace hardware, or a gallon or so for 10 at Home Depot. DON'T OVERPAY for citrus cleaner and definitely no need to use harsher chemicals. Citrus cleaner is natural, doesn't hurt my hands and as far as I know can be dumped down the drain without feeling bad like I would with acetone, gasoline etc.

This is a very good cleaning kit. It allows you to effectively clean your bearings without a huge mess. I like how they give you citrus cleaner so you do not have to purchase any before you buy at that moment. It is the right amount inside so you are able to pour some new cleaner back into the same bottle they gave you as a measurement of how much you should use to clean with. Bottle is flexible so if you want to save some of your cleaner and or you just need to filter it, you can squeeze the container to create a makeshift nozzle. The pillars that you use to stack are a bit difficult to put your bearings on at first but they break-in after your second or third use. I tried making my own kit but it never came out right. So, I just bought this, which saved me a boatload of trouble and time. Cleans the bearings effectively. Never ran into any problems. Just note that the pillars are small parts. If you are anything like me, you have a tendency to lose small things. Once you are all done and everything is dry, put the pillars, the top and the base back in the red kit so everything is in one place.

I chose this over the Bones cleaning unit because it was more compact, came with citrus degreaser, and had a lot of good reviews. Well, it is compact, it's easy to use, and the degreaser works.But it leaks. Every time.The container is a cheesy plastic snap-top affair that spews cleaner everywhere with even a mild shake. Makes it hard to save the cleaner for reuse, when half of it has run out the leaky seal. It works OK, but given the shoddy construction it should sell for about half the price it's going for.For $1 -less- you can get the Bones kit with a nice tight screw top that doesn't leak -- and you can put the dollar you saved towards some citrus degreaser.

If I could give no stars I would!!! Cheap and not worth the price paid for it. I could've gone to my local hardware store and bought the same items for half the price. #neveragain

The product works perfectly in terms of what it is to be used for. It does bother me that only 8 bearings for in there at a time granted this is meant for skateboarders not rollerbladers. There is also not at all enough citrus cleaner to clean all 8 bearings

I love the Orange oil cleaner in this kit, it does a great job and it is a more "user/environment friendly" cleaner to work with. I like the smaller side by side bearing column, however, I dislike the plastic separators. I would prefer a metal rod with bearing metal washers as separators. The plastic separators require more dexterity to put together and they absorb the dirt and grease from the bearings and they, in turn, require cleaning. The quality of the speed cream is excellent as is the removable "needle applicator". I gave this 4 stars because of the kit design, the bearing cleaner and speed cream lubricant are superior.
