Plus Size Fashions in Crochet (Annie's Attic Crochet) Paperback – November 5, 2010

This booklet was purchased with the intent of making several of the sweaters featured. I want to be honest and say that I did not use the booklet to make any. I did look through the booklet, and as an experienced crocheter, I believe the booklet is very nicely written, the lists of items needed per project appears complete and the patterns appear to have clearly written directions. The booklet shows nice color photographs for each sweater featured. They were all very pretty and tastefully designed. The reason I did not crochet any of the items inside is that I lost a lot of weight and these patterns would now all be too large for me. I wouldn't hesitate to set about making a sweater from the patterns inside for a gift. They patterns are lovely. If you are a crocheter, or are thinking of purchasing this booklet for a crocheter, I would say it is a nice purchase. If the same patterns were available for smaller sizes, I would buy it again.

I chose this crochet pattern book because it looks like the type of sweater for a pear shape like me.Raglan or other stylish shoulders are not good for "pear shapes", and the patterns in this book are the squareshoulders, the best!I was excited to find it, not too many in crochet, can't wait to start one of the projects, (after I finish a blanket).I have worked up pattern swatches and I like what I see. Crocheting for 61 years (72 years old) everything fromanimals,flowers,purses, to clothing, blankets, just name it. I can usually tell how a pattern will turn out by readingit, and I can bet it will be a five star.

I love the patterns in this book. I haven't made any of them yet, but plan to soon. They are all very classic patterns, with classic shapes and details. Many of the newer crochet patterns are a little too oddly shaped for me. The stitches look easy--no intricate charts to follow. The sweaters work up quickly.

Not enough patterns. Could use more instructions.

Very good book with good directions. I haven't seen any mistakes.

I'll keep the book for some of the patterns but the simple vest I was looking for wasn't in it.

The only bad think about this is that it isn't bigger. I loved just about every pattern in this and the ones I didn't I suspect have to to do with the color choices in the book and not the actual pattern. I plan on making one of everything.

I like this book very much. Being plus size usually precludes me being able to crochet for myself but this book really opens up possibilities and gives me hope for my creativity to come to the fore.
