Lovely cross stitch
I wouldn’t recommend this for a beginner (if you are a beginner look up some tips on how to cross stitch) ... I’ve never done it before and had to buy a second one as I made so many mistakes ! Silly mistakes because I thought it would just be simple 😂 I’ve just started another cross stitch which has a full explanation of how to cross stitch with pictures which is super helpful! That said I love the key and the colours and I’m really happy with how it’s turned out ! The writing is beautiful once you’ve done it as well, this is one of my favourites !

Lovely cute sampler makes a wonderful project and gift
Lovely product good quality and easy to follow charts. Great value for money too which is always good. Wonderful present for my cousin and her new baby. I have purchased another for a friends baby. The colours are vibrant and the characters are so cute - everyone who has seen my work in progress have been very impressed.

Arrived quickly, but has many quality issues
I have done many cross stitch projects over the years, using both complete kits and individual carts and my own fabric and threads. I have never before used a Bothy kit. The kit is probably (hopefully) fine. However, there is no way of knowing if one has received the right number of threads, as there is no contents list included, either on the charts or in the instruction sheet. The threat sorter has several symbol-marked holes which had no threads - does this mean some are missing or is it a generic all purpose thread sorter used by Bothy for all their kits? There is no indication of what colour code any of the threads are, as they are identified only by the symbols on the sorter and within the chart itself (other charts I have used have a symbol list in the margin with the corresponding thread colour code on it). If there is insufficient thread (which one won't find out until nearing the end of the project), one has no idea what thread to order. The Thread sorter is not very satisfactory All of the holes are staggered in two rows on one side only. This means that the threads tangle very easily. Luckily I have my own two sided thread sorters and I transferred the threads on to this, but even just doing that the threads got tangled and it took quite a while to do, an for someone who doesn't have their own sorters, would mean extra expense/delay before starting their project, or endless frustration using the Bothy sorter.Update: sampler now completed and baby grandson now arrived so I’m in a position to put in the name and date of birth. The alphabet supplied is dreadful. It looks scrappy and the scale is not suitable for the project main chart. For example, using the same number of squares given for the letters and numbers on the alphabet chart, one cannot physically fit any month other than perhaps April, May, June or July in full in the space available. I have decided to use a neater alphabet from other sources. So my verdict: poor value for money. A shame, as the design itself, when the issues are compensated for, is lovely. Not for a novice.

Lovely pattern for boy or girl
Like other reviews, no needle was included as stated on packaging. The threads not looped to ensure no mix up so best to cut along middle line and loop yourself properly. Only just starting so cannot give indication of finished product. Have previously used Dimensions patterns which are more well planned

Not easy but very enjoyable.
I made this for my brother and sister in law for the birth of their first baby. I Haven’t cross stitched since my teens but the instructions were easy to follow. It took about 6 weeks of spending a couple of hours a night so it was a labour of love but really enjoyed doing it. I used a highlighter to mark the pattern as i did it. My biggest struggle was the french knots for the eyes but managed after a few attempts. The finished product was lovely and it was a perfect xmas gift.

Keepsake for baby
Kit met expectations. I have completed about a third and can see it will be a lovely keepsake on completion. It will take weeks to complete so you need plenty of spare time, ideal atm. Very small stitches, magnifier useful.
