Spring Valley - Biotin 5000 mcg, Super Potency, 120 Softgels

AWESOME!! My hair grew so fast so quickly!! Also my skin was very clear. Also, they are small and easy to swallow! These pills will last you awhile since you only have to take 1 a day. I bought more at my local store since this product is so good! Make sure to drink a lot of water with it or else you will break out (I made that mistake once!!). Do NOT start at this mcg. If you are new to this product, make sure you start at the lowest dosage to make sure your body is okay with biotin. This product isn't for everybody! But, if you do know that this product is good for you. Here's what biotin does! -Makes your nails grow faster! -Makes your hair grow faster! -Makes your skin glow and nice! (If you drink water with biotin!) -Makes your nails stronger! -Makes your hair more healthy! That's what I noticed from biotin, this may not be the case for everyone which is why I recommend starting at a low dosage. If you notice that biotin is making you feel weird, or break out a lot, I recommend stop taking it! Also, do NOT take this when you're pregnant! It is a great product for hair growth though!!

My wife's review: I bought this thinking I would not see any results until two or three months later. Boy, was I wrong. These pills make your hair grow like a weed....I mean the bottle is not yet finished....I have probably about two weeks supply and I already have mega growth. Basically, when I comb my hair back, the middle part was an inch and a half shorter than either sides....so I had to wear a pony for months upon months now. I did not even realize that my hair was all even until this week. I am so excited!!!. Only thing, it gave me a little pimple or two here and there but I have never really had an acne problem otherwise...I won't call it an outbreak...it was mild, just two at a time. I recommend starting off with 1 pill twice daily....if no pimples, then you can increase to 2 pills twice daily depending on your desired results. Just about all hair vitamins that actually work, contains biotin and this is what causes the pimples so it is wise to consume lots and lots of water while using biotin. Also, I stopped getting the pimples when I started a skin care regime that works for me. I wash twice daily with a facial wash and I use a toner twice daily as well. The thing I love about these pills also is the price.....compared to hairfinity for instance. SPRING VALLEY BIOTIN ROCKS!!!

THIS is the ONLY Brand OF biotin I'll buy!! I take chemo once a week for an auto immune disorder so I lose a good bit of hair every wash and every brushing!! But what I notice even more apparent is my nails!!(hard for me to notice my hair as I have a TON OF it AND it's down to my butt!!) But on EVERY OTHER brand of biotin?? My nails were a complete disaster!! Splitting, breaking really easily and often! NOT on THIS Spring Valley brand!! And I take 10,000 mcg TWICE a day, religiously!! I've tried multiple, countless other brands trying to save money but you get what you pay for, as they say!! Even within just a couple weeks I can notice the difference IN my nails!! Hard to judge the hair aspect on myself but, as I mentioned, I've got a LOTTA hair!(thankfully!!) But definitely give this a go!! I'm also a nurse and I'm extremely critical OF ALL supplements!! If it doesn't work for you, you're only out about $10. But I'm telling you, it's GOTTA BE THIS Brand!!! Spring Valley ONLY!! CAN'T recommend this enough!! And no, I don't work for them. Just a regular old, retired heiffer!!lol!!

I use this for hair growth and it has worked like a charm. Last September I decided I wanted to do something new with my hair so I decided to grow it out as I have had short hair literally my entire life. I decided to buzz my hair one last time and then let it grow. A few months in to me growing my hair out I got into that weird one where I couldn't do anything to make my hair look good. Luckily for me it was winter time and I was able to wear a hat every day. I decided that my hair was growing too slowly and I wanted to be able to fashion it anyway that didn't make me look homeless. I decided to buy this stuff and have been taking it since then. So far I am on my third bottle and it's the first week of May and my hair is thick, bouncy, and down to my shoulders. Since September I have also had my hair cut 4 times to clean it up and shape it so it should be longer than it is. So to recap, from September to May I have grown my hair and taken biotin for about four months. I started with using a 2 guard on a pair of clippers to buzz it all off and now my hair looks a lot like Brad Cooper's in the Hangover. That's a whole lot of hair for only 7 months of growth.

We all know if your trying to grow out your hair, you need to add a Biotin supplement to your diet. 5,000 mcg is a good high amount, 10,000 is just over kill & you may experience side effects taking that much ( some ppl breakout, get acne on face, body w/high doses) . This was the potency I wanted & it has 120 tiny soft gels . Even if you DID take 2 a day it's a 60 day supply! But 1 is well sufficient , you do get Biotin in foods you eat, just not that much so adding this gives your hair that added boost of the needed vitamin to Grow! I have notice some growth, faster than usual since I dye my hair I can tell by the regrowth & how fast I need to dye my roots again! I can usually go 4 weeks easy, but in 2 Weeks I had a lot of DARK ROOTS showing! So, the only different thing I added to my usual supplemts ( vitamineral green, Earth, Spirullina, B12, vit C powder , bla blah etc..) is BIOTIN, so I know it has to be this. The brand is pretty good, I don't usually buy it, but the price was good for the amount & the potency. I usually buy "Whole food, organic, vitamin mineral supplements, but this seemed fine for what it was-Biotin' . All in all it was a good purchase, it DOES WORK for Hair GROWTH ( thickness too) & it's not too expensive, so you can't go wrong! I am sure other brands might work as well, but either they were priced too high for what it is, or the potency was too low. You want 5,000mcg a day, but like I said 10,000 is just too much. It's not needed in that high of a dose to produce the effects you want & as with most things, the more you take of something the greater the risk of side effects. I have oily skin, & 5,000 a day has not made me break out. So I would recommend this brand & potency- good price, 120 tiny gel caps & it WORKS. :) JR~

I purchased this for my 56 year old mother who is experiencing hair loss. After doing some research online, I found out Biotin is one of the best supplements for hair regrowth. For the past two months, she has been religiously taking one pill in the morning and another at night. Along with this, she's been using Nexxus VitaTress Biotin Shampoo every day, which I also got for her after reading good reviews on Amazon. After three weeks of usage, she noticed that her armpit hair has been growing. She said she didn't have to shave the armpit area that often (only once in maybe three months) because hair used to not grow there. Now she has to shave every two weeks which is a huge change (and also a bit funny). After a month of usage, she noticed little hairs growing on her scalp but she wanted me to check in case she was having a placebo effect. After a quick glance at her head, I did clearly notice many little tiny hair (about 1/4" long at the time) sprouting from her scalp. It's been two months now and her hair is definitely falling out less. The little hairs have all grown longer and they look nice and strong. Judging from the growth of her armpit hair, I'd say that biotin pills have definitely helped her a lot since she doesn't use the Nexxus shampoo on her armpits. But the combination of Biotin pills and Nexxus VitaTress shampoo is working well for her.

This is my first Amazon product review. I'm dedicating my first to this product as a thank you! Woohoo! I am SO glad to have found Biotin. My brittle, frizzy, and overly colored and damaged hair has started its gradual transformation! My hair feels fuller and stronger and definitely looks longer as well! I didn't use any new conditioner/hair products either. It's the Biotin working its magic. For those concerned about the pill size, this one is very small and thus easy to swallow. I haven't noticed any strange odors either. If I had to nitpick, a mini-con would be that the other areas of my body (facial/legs, etc) are getting hairier at a faster rate as well. But that was expected since I read another reviewer's note about it. Well that would truly be a miracle if only the hair on my head grew while the rest paused their growth! No biggie, as long as my hair is getting healthier. Will be back in a few months to update.

If you have fine thin hair, this biotin really works to make it fuller. I have been taking it for about 9 months now and I have noticed a big difference in the amount of hair I have. My hair dresser said I have the finest hair she has ever seen. After taking the biotin, two a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, I can tell I have more hair and maybe a little coarser. Before taking the biotin, my scalp was starting to show through more at my part and crown, but now my part is filled in and my crown seems a little fuller too. I will never stop taking this. I've also been cursed with thin flimsy nails and this seems to make my nails stronger and thicker too. I tried to go up to three a day but when I did, I noticed a little acne so I cut back to two and that has gone away.
