Tastes very fresh - A Variety Pack Would Be Appreciated
Arriba! Fire Roasted Mexican Mild Red Salsa, 16 Ounce Jars (Pack of 4) We use salsa for a lot of things: Eggs, baked potatoes, to dress up mac and cheese, to add a bit of zip to slow cooker recipes, and of course for tacos and other homemade South of the Border foods like nachos. We're always looking for a good salsa that tastes fresh and for my daughter's sake isn't spicy. This Arriba Mild fits that criteria perfectly. My daughter and I were both surprised at how fresh this tasted. It was as if we had just brought in produce from our garden and made it fresh. Its the first Salsa we've ever had that did not have a machine processed taste to it. Its unusually fresh tasting and we'll keep on buying this.My only disappointment is that you can only buy 4 jars of the same flavor. I like my salsa with a kick to it, I am a Southerner living in Maine and I would like the option of being able to choose 2 mild, 1 medium and 1 Red Hot for our subscribe and save. We don't have a lot of disposable income, so buying 4 jars of this flavor, and 4 jars of that is not an option for us. My daughter can't eat the spicy due to sinus problems so I'll continue to eat the mild and load it up with crushed red peppers or cayenne pepper. I'm sure that other people have things more important to worry about in the world, which is why I didn't remove a star for this.Bottom line being if you like your salsa tasting like you just went to your garden and gathered the ingredients and made it, this is the brand we recommend. This is only our opinion and you can, and may disagree. However, we will continue to purchase this as long as it remains available at a reasonable price in the S&S program on Amazon. Another benefit is the glass jars are reusable, and if you don't want to reuse them, they can be recycled. A lot of plastic jars we've gotten Salsa in, we couldn't recycle.

Try it on scrambled eggs with a pinch of melted mozzarella
My second experience with Arriba! Salsa resulted in a perfect combination of fire-roasted flavor and layered heat. The combo pack is two jars of Medium Chipotle Salsa and two jars of Medium Green Salsa.I gave a three-star review for Arriba! Fire Roasted Mexican Hot Red Salsa last month, a free sample provided through Amazon's Vine program. Here's what I wrote about that variety:"I opened a jar and tried it over three different meals: a lunch of chicken nachos; a dinner of bean burritos; and a dinner of fish tacos. In each and every case, the salsa overpowered the dish. My sons, ages 11 and 9, also tried the salsa. (They have their own condiment bottles of sriracha.) They came to the same conclusion: the hot red salsa was too strong."The Medium Chipotle Salsa (the smoky flavor of chipotle peppers) marries well with nachos and burritos while the Medium Green Salsa (fire-roasted green tomatoes and tomatillos) was best on scrambled eggs with a pinch of melted mozzarella. Unlike the hot salsa, my sons had no trouble enjoying these medium salsas. My wife noted the fire-roasted flavor, which included burnt bits of peppers. She recently added a spoonful to her Mexican rice recipe.Again, I am impressed by the easily-pronounceable list of ingredients in Arriba! Fire Roasted Salsas .Medium Chipotle Salsa: Tomato, Jalapeno, Chipotle Pepper (Chipotle Pepper, Tomato, Salt, Sesame Oil, Paprika, Vinegar and Spices), Cilantro, Onion, Garlic, Carrots, Vinegar, Salt, and Sesame Oil.Medium Green Salsa: Tomatoes, tomatillas, serrano peppers, cilantro, onions, garlic, carrots, vinegar, salt, sesame oil, and spicesThe price is roughly $5 per jar, which is reasonable considering the quality. I would drop a star from my rating if the price climbs much higher.Rating: Five starsADDENDUM: Riba Foods produces the Arriba! brand of fire-roasted salsa as well as pepper sauces, bar-b-que sauces and the Texas Pepper Works brand of bread and butter-type pickles, peppers, and mustard. I recommend the Texas Pepper Works brand as well.

this is by far the best salsa I have ever had
OK... this is by far the best salsa I have ever had. ALL NATURAL ingredients with no sugars, gums, msg, or above all... high fructose corn syrup. It DOESN'T have that horrible tomato paste taste that 98% of all salsas on the market have. If I wanted tomato sauce for my chips or eggs, I'd buy or make real tomato sauce to go on them. If you're the person who thinks going to the local fast food burger joint his a high end restuarant, then this isn't the brand for you. It's NOT chunky or pasty or commercial. This is as close to the Mexican border as you can get in terms of salsa. My wife makes a taco dip and uses this for the salsa part of the recipe. Everyone who eats it loves it and asks her for the recipe. She tells them that she uses Arriba Chipolte Medium and that it's not available in the local grocery stores where we live. That we order it on Amazon. They then go home and try to make their own without the Arriba and can't figure out why their taco dip doesn't taste as good. They ask her again for the recipe and she, again, tells them that without the Arriba it's not going to be the same as hers. They don't believe it's the salsa. Oh well, all I can say is give it a try. It's not for everyone, but if you want high end, this is the salsa to buy. Thank you Amazon for carrying it !!!

A Great-Tasting Sauce, But This is WAY Beyond "Medium" Heat-Wise!!
The only reason I'm giving this four (4) stars is that this salsa is way too hot to be classified as "Medium." I really like hot foods, and I only get sauces that are "Medium," because my wife would not be pleased with salsas beyond medium. This sauce is HOT AS HELL. I ordered the Red Salsa and Green Salsa Combo Pack (Medium) a while back, and it was fine, heat-wise. My wife liked it and never said it was too hot. Maybe this particular batch of THIS salsa that I'm reviewing now (Roasted Garlic & Cilantro Salsa, Medium) was a total anomaly in terms of heat, but all I can say is buyer beware: this salsa is super-tasty, but really hot, almost too hot for me. See JP's review; we're on the same page about the hotness issue.
