The $500 Rescue Rover (2008 LR3) badly needed an oil change, unfortunately time and previous techs had managed to install the oil change plug so solidly that there was no way to get it out. Well, this seems like a good time to try an oil extraction, which I wasn''t sure was all that practical.The extractor itself is amazing. Hook it to a decent size air compressor, open the valve and watch the oil get sucked right out of the crankcase. I managed to get pretty much all of the old oil out. I'm not entirely convinced it gets all the crud out of the crankcase but it did a good job, it was easy, and if you have a vehicle where the filter is serviced from above it means you never have to get under to change oil, which means it will get done more often and more on time.The instructions are not very good, but I was able to figure out where the tube went and what size to use, obviously the biggest one that fits. I did not test the manual extraction , because that seemed like a lot of work when I have a perfectly good air compressor to drive it.

works well. Got my oil extracted. Love the large canister size, which is why I selected this one now. I can do an oil change again a second time without having to go to drain my oil at the town dump between. Stuck it right back in the box with the covered and raised to prevent dripping. Don't throw the box away!

I have two mighty xxx Brand pumps.In comparison, I just used the Vevor today and it worked great and it comes with lot of attachments. I’m using this just to siphon out clean oil.I also bought a vevor Transmission pump that I need to use use in my camera because it doesn’t have a dipstick

I've already used this to remove and replace the transmission fluid on my Sienna. It works as advertised. I'm not sure how it compares with the MityVac, but it's half the price and it works. My only complaint is that the quart and liter markings on the side are hard to see. Too bad they're not black or red.

I do a lot of my own auto work and this extractor is better than the OEM Tools 9L I had, which had the check valve on the air connection fail. This unit has a much better check valve design w/metal cap. The included accessories are useful and the quality is as good or better than the OEM Tools unit. I would buy from Vevor, again.

If you want oil all over the place then get this extractor. Poor quality control. The pump isn’t sealed properly, so I can’t create any vacuum using it the hand pump. The air hose is just enough to barely pull vacuum so in a few hours it can extract 5 liters of oil. But, the air vent is shooting oily air everywhere. And of you attempt to even try the hand pump with any oil inside, it shoots oil out of the air vents.Complete garbage.

This is a must have if you have a modified car or even just stock car. Always hated jacking the car up when my cars are too low. This saved me so much time! Should have bought this a long time ago. I highly recommend this. I was done with my oil change in less than 10 minutes. The build quality is great! And the lines it comes with are great, not just for oil changes.

This does the job, and once started will require minimal to no pumping to complete. Spare o-rings are included.However it needs a few tweaks to really be a great 5 star product.-mine had seams on the main container top cap that were not molded properly. I had to cut them with a knife to be able to fit the vacuum cap in-the instructions are useless. There are other accessories included that are not explained.-the hoses included are really stiff, especially in colder weather. This makes clean-up a problem since its hard to separate and store them without drips. The hoses are springy and want to spray oil so be careful when you separate the various extensions or when you first remove them out of the dipstick hole-the vacuum cylinder has a small bleed valve that is not explained at all. However when I used the product, it stopped draining and pumping no longer worked. Needed to purge this valve to get it going again - which I discovered entirely by accident-this valve is also how you stop the vacuuming action when the container is getting full, instead of just yanking the hose out-lift handle included on the bottom of the product, but its a single wire which digs into your hand when lifting a container filled with oil.

Works great for oil changes. Make sure oil is warm (but not hot) and it will flow better. Did not take long using just the manual pump. More convenient than losing my car for a day just for an oil change.
