Alice: A Christmas Ghost Story

The story is so enveloping just had to keep reading. It’s such an original setting that I’ll never think about care homes in the same way ever again. Brilliant characters each with their own stories.

I have read many of Shani Struther's books! But this is the ONE which touched my heart and soul the deepest of all! Have just finished, it is 11.54 pm and wiping tears! omg how gripping is this, from start to finish, wanted to get to the end ,but did not want to finish it, towards the end you are willing them on yes with a lump in the throat, really good ending get the tissues ready

A rather charming Christmas ghost story , good characters and a nice storyline . Very readable and I would recommend it thoroughly .

I enjoyed this, likeable characters, interesting story,,though a bit sad in places. About a young lady who works in a care home and can "read" people's lives, just by touching them.

Throughly enjoyed this story, so well written I was so invested in Alice's story I couldn't put it down. It's one of those books you can't wait to find out what happens but are sad it's over. Highly recommend.

I loved reading this. I fell in love with so many characters. I want the story to go on. I want Jenny and Tony to be a couple. I want to know that Lottie went on to use her gift with others. Even with the horrors that Alice endured, the story is beautifully told.

I really enjoyed this story! I enjoyed the characters a lot, from Lottie and Tony, and especially spunky Bobby. There were a few times it dragged on, but the whole premise of the story was really good. I found myself not being able to put it down and wanting to keep reading to see what happened. Since it kept switching back and forth from past to present, there were a few times I felt like I got lost in that, but eventually figured it out. What a long, and sad life poor Alice had to endure for nothing. I can't imagine living that way. But so glad it was a happy ending.

There're parts in this storyline that are true as far as the way nursing homes and such are run. There are places that have people like Patsy. Most of this is very heartbreaking, but the ending was beautiful! I enjoyed this very much, but did shed some tears.

As always a great story Shani keeps you reading so you can get totally get involved to the very end ! Great story she's the best

This book as AMAZING! So touching, Lottie is such a wonderful girl helping the elderly with her special gift. Marvelous read!
