Excellent piece if equipment, good for cutting tree branches and similar up to about 1 1/2 inch diameter without a problem, will cut thicker with a bit of a tug on the rope. Used with adjustable pole makes it a very flexible pruner for just a few feet up to 20 feet. I have also used from a ladder which gave much greater height and allowed me to attack branches in normally unreachable areas. Would give it 5 but reduced to 4 because occasionally the pulling rope comes off the wheel mechanism at the top but that is due to how you position the pruner . Need to make sure you don't get it tangled up in the tree branches. A good buy and value for money, does exactly what I wanted it for, very pleased.

The pole and accessories are not cheap but the quality and ease of use are what you pay for. I would recommend this equipment.

Really easy to use and does the job well.

Not the easiest thing to use on the end of the very long pole. The cord came off the pulley at one stage and wedged down the side of it but not too difficult to release. The wing-nut came loose, so I'm glad I noticed that before I lost it in the garden. Fairly light duty up to 2.5 cm: there is a geared version, presumably for heavier duty work.

Using to tidy conifers. Reach high without using ladders.
