This light looks great in a family room ceiling. It's just the right height not to block a large TV mounted over a fireplace. I wasn't sure about the finish/color, but it's wonderful in the space. It puts out a good amount of light and dims nicely. I also installed a dimmer, which makes it even nicer. It has an understated, yet dignified look, which is hard to find in a good-sized ceiling light.

It is a great looking fixture. I feel I got a quality product for what I paid. It was much larger than I thought. The only thing I didn’t like is the color. It was much more gold/brassy in person.

This product looks sharp once installed. The light it throws is nice, with a soft indirect light above the direct diffused light. As noted in other reviews this brass color is more of a gold-brass than silver-champagne brass. If I wanted to be picky, I would add that the lower ring finish is less gold than the ceiling mount section and arms. However, you only notice that when removing it from the package and once on the ceiling it was undetectable.

Open end design that allows heat emitting from light bulbs to dissipate hence prolong the life of the product. Quality materials were used including the light bulb sockets, glass cover. Easy to install. 300 Watts seems to be a lot power and light but in our case we need more light for our big dinning and kitchen area. So I installed twin socket adapters to double number of LED lights to 6 of 15 Watts each which produce equivalent to 600 Watts.

I was excited about this light fixture; I finally decided to treat myself and buy something luxurious and expensive, something that would give my room pizzazz.This is by far the cheapest looking light in my entire house and I’m 100% embarrassed. The gold is very cheap looking- it basically looks like someone took a can of spray paint to it. It’s a semi-flush Mount, so I expected it to be close to the ceiling, but the three rods can hardly been seen at all (and I don’t have very tall ceilings). Those rods, to me, is what created a modern, unique element- just what I was looking for…. Obviously didn’t work out.It basically looks like a cheap, gold, metal drum with nothing to set it apart from being common. If I wanted common I would have paid for something a lot less fromHome Depot or Lowe’s.Unfortunately my window for return has passed- I reached out to the seller in hopes they would grant me permission to return it anyway, but no response, of course.

Our house entry doesn't have a light fixture, so I wanted a hall fixture that would give a lot of light. Even though this is a small space, the Minka Lavery flush mount doesn't overwhelm it. I love that the top of the fixture is open, which allows the light to reflect off the ceiling as well as downward so there is less ceiling darkness/shadows. I've found a difficult time finding a fixture that does this unless it has exposed bulbs/not encased. I love this fixture so much that I plan to take it with me to my next house as we are moving soon. I really debated over the price, but haven't had any regrets.

Love this light! It has transformed the hallway from meh to marvelous.
