Strong and well worth the price
I bought this to make the metal shed doors more secured from the inside. Works a treat. Easy to installYou do need to supply the ground anchor bolts, would of been great if this was supplied with them but for the price you can’t go wrong. Not just for a garage

Perfect! Neat & tidy, effective.
My t-handle door lock broke, but being foresighted I bought a replacement many years ago. It didn't fit, so I was going to need some help from my son (an engineer) to get that modified. In the meantime I was parking my car close to the garage door, but that obviously only works when I'm at home. So I went looking for alternatives and after consider hasp & padlock and drop bolts, I settled on this.I bought the whole kit: lock, expanding bolts and padlock. When it arrived I hauled out my SDS drill, and found I didn't have the required 16mm bit. A trip to local store sorted that.I measured to find the centre of the garage door and placed the base plate on the floor, under the door so the bit the padlock goes through was against the door. Opened door so that it pushed the plate away until the door cleared it, moved it back another 5mm to allow for play in the door swing, marked the holes.I drilled 10mm pilot holes, then 16mm holes, dropped in the expansion part of the bolts, threaded bolts through plate, tightened with a socket set. And that was it (the first expansion bolt I used wouldn't tighten, probably operator error, but they sent 5 and I only needed 2 so no panic).Shut the door, placed on the bar on the base plate, inserted padlock and boom! Job done in under 10 minutes.Door now secure, I had the confidence to engage my son's help for about 2 hours filing and sanding the t-lock to get it fitted.Supplier (AB Tools) delivered a day early, well packaged in a stout cardboard box with lots of tape. I'd say that tape is needed as the package is HEAVY.I have every confidence that this door lock will outlive me, and would recommend to anyone with a flat(ish) concrete floor to install it on.

Easy to install but lock isn't great
Easy to install. Lock that comes with is very fiddly to open so would probably change it down the line but does the job.

An absolute must,I just wish I had bought it earlier,I may still have my motorbike.
it was so easy to install,I choose to cut out and chisel the concrete just to accept the depth of the base so the door would not catch the bolt heads. An absolute must have for a garage nowadays,I bought two,one for each bottom corner and they are well worth the money if just for the piece of mind, perfect deterrent and a huge improvement on security.

Solid build let down by lazy finishing / QC :(
The whole thing looks and feels solid and pretty well made and would have done the job it was built for right out of the box. I state "would of" but it did not and could not, as the hole for a padlock (shackle) to go through was so badly finished (as in not round) that only a cheaper weaker lock (one with a skinny shackle) would work. So they (yes I bought 2 and both were same) required copious use of a round file to finally take the size of shackle they were intended for.Solid build let down by lazy finishing / QC :(
