I'm not sure how the water tower works, I fill the test tube with water and cover it with the blue rubber stopper, but I see that the stopper doesn't get completely wet, is there any correct way to do this?

At first this seemed like a good product. I was using this for my Messor Barbarus colony that eats seeds. I set everything up correctly. I checked back a few weeks later and entire colony is dead. I checked everything that could be the cause and the humidity system did not function properly. The sponges were not getting wet enough to be efficient and provide water for the colony. I’m very frustrated, I’m leaving a review to warn future customers and to provide feedback for the company about the humidity system currently on this formicarium.

There were no instructions or water tower bag or baggie inside.

Got as a gift for my niece. She loves it. Some reviews said there were gaps in it we looked everywhere and couldn’t find any gaps. Works great.

Product was shipped quickly and packaged nicely. Assembly wasn't too bad and there are videos to assist with this. My only complaint so far is there's a really thin gap between the wall and floor of the Outworld. Unfortunately, I've had a few small culprit ants escape. The larger/majors can't fit and are secured in the Outworld. However, if you have small/micro ants, they may be able to squeeze in the gap if the wall and floor isn't flushed.

It was not easy to build it at first I got to keep looking at the instructions few time to maker should i am doing it right way it take me 5 hours to finish build it in my eyes it very amazing the way it look now and now i put one of my ant in to it they are looking around it all the next places and drinks water areas so far my ant are very happy with it I like to say to all the Ants keeper it worth the money you see what I am talking about with it and I am very pleased with it it so amazing

Concept of this ant farm is great…HOWEVER ants get out easily as it doesn’t fit together properly. Skip this product!

Giving 4 stars as both test tubes arrived broken.The design of the nests is good with the interlocking sections which can be added as your colony grows. Seen this set up for a lot more on other retail sites.As I haven't tried the nests I can't comment on how good they are to be used as a nest with keeping the correct humidity.The two different sized outworlds need to be glued and any gaps secured.I purchased this knowing my new Messor Barbarus wouldn't be using part of one of the nests for about a year or more, the nest cubes supplied are way too big for a new colony and wouldn't survive/thrive being in such a large set up, with just one (partitioned off) nest cube added.Anyone thinking of getting into ant keeping, needs to do their research, ants like to be in cramped nests so they feel secure.My Messor Barbarus queen came with five workers, three weeks later 12 workers by being kept dark and undisturbed in their test tube.They will stay in their founding test tube which is placed in the larger outworld that came with this purchase so they can come and go from their founding tube to the outworld to collect their seeds.The smaller outworld is connected to one of my Lasius Niger nests.Both outworlds were glued and checked that there wasn't any gaps. No escapees as yet!
