Past Cure - PlayStation 4

This game was made by 8 guys with almost no experience. Keep this in mind.The games story is quite interesting. It's very cinematic and very story driven. It's a good a thriller. It's not really like any one other game. It's a good mix of others and styles and attempting something new. A lot of reviewers complain about the combat mechanics. That's crap. Most people are have gotten lazy in that games are forgiving now and allow a lot of button smashing during combat. This require intentional precision. It's not hard, just older style and takes some adjustment. Spend a few minutes in the tutorial honing the mechanics and then it's great. Bullets are not infinite, be careful and shoot well. Porcelain men the dream sequence need to be shot but you really have just enough bullets for the sequence with a few mistakes. If you aim poorly this game is brutal. It's way more satisfying than a lot of triple A titles that have been coming out. It's daring and unique.The voice actors are definitely German so they accents are a bit odd but not bad. Although Ians actor has little emotion it's not that big of a deal.

For having never heard of it before it’s a pretty good game. Older looking graphics and long loading times.

This game had a lot of potential, unfortunately it was wasted. I didn't hate it but I would not pay the full $30 for what seemed like an unfinished game with uninspired and flat characters.

I hate to write anything negative about a game, especially one that is from a smaller company. Sadly, I couldn’t make it too far in. After several days, I gave up. The controls are not user-friendly. The graphics are lacking, which I can overlook for smooth gameplay, but this game does not have that. It feels clunky and slow. The interaction with the environment reminds me of the games ten years ago, which we all loved at the time, but have long since grown past. It felt like it was trying to be Quantum Break, but that game is incredible and obviously that team spent years putting it together for something almost perfect. Like I said, I hate to do this, but here is its one star. Even my kids couldn’t get into it. They spent less than an hour and moved on to better things. If I could get my money back I absolutely would. Months of excited anticipation was rewarded with a game not worth playing.

An abysmal attempt from this studio. For every pro, there is a deep flaw. Mechanically, the game just isn't there and the game ends so quickly, there was no time for me to feel any connection to characters-- and the voice acting is about as lifeless as it gets. Good ideas are here, but it didn't have the budget, polish and quite frankly...the talent; to be what it could have been. Better luck next time to Phantom 8.

Great Game! Has a lot of interesting elements in it.If you like Max Payne and Beyond Two Souls...you will love this game.When the game starts, you may get an impression that it is a horror game, and has a Silent Hill 4 vibe.Then the game turns into Evil Within. Then the game turns into Max Payne style.Overall, I am very impressed with the game and I am waiting for a sequel!
