Nice compact kit with everything I need for travel and outdoors painting
Nice convenient kit with everything needed for a day out paint sketching. Perfect size and ample mixing areas. I bought one of these Micros earlier without all the extras and really liked it a lot. So when I saw this kit I bought it. I like that the kit comes with the Micro palette, 2 water brushes, extra paint pans of various sizes, plus a larger carrying bag.When out in nature, around town, or on a car or plane trip, I always use water brushes as I don't like to hassle with water containers, or having to worry about spilling or where to dump the dirty paint water as it can also be a toxic waste. So this kit is perfectly thought out.I do own the Original Portable Painter with the case that turns into 2 water wells, but I never used them, just more stuff to misplace, and the palette broke at one of the hinges within 2 months. This Micro set has everything I need, durable, and better designed.The only thing I would change is using a thumb-ring for the pop out holder instead of the current holder design. It's awkward to hold onto or to clip onto a journal. Overall, a great job on the Micro version. Highly recommended for the traveling artist!

Seriously cannot say all the great things about this tiny portable palette
I love how small it is and I love that the kit came with extension pieces, so you can go from a classic 6 pan to 16 pan set of water colors and switch them around when you are working with a certain palette. I love love love this tiny thing. So worth it. I carry two of them in my fanny pack, a palette of natural colors and a palette for portraiture. Love this thing so much! Only draw back is that you can't swap other half pans from different companies, you must use tube paints to fill the pans.
