The taller one might sound too big, but it is the perfect size for an indoor climbing plant (ivy, pothos, etc.) in a pot.They aren't a heavy metal, so it doesn't make the pot too heavy to move around. And no assembly, just shove themdown in the dirt and let your plant baby climb & grow. I have mature pothos though so I had to thread them up through the trellis to get them started. That was time-consuming, but that's just because my plants are 8 years old so big mamas!These are black and have a slight shine (definitely not matte and not "glossy") and I would have preferred green, but with the plant growing on it you can't even see it so I'm over that.I like them so much I went back to buy more and they were out of stock.BUY...you won't be disappointed.

Too heavy to be of much use for potted plants. It doesn’t go deep enough into the soil to function as a stake, which is its purpose. Perhaps it works for border plants outside, but, again, it is too bulky to use in an average size bed.

I don't recall seeing the "23 inch Plant Stakes" when I ordered these and found to my surprise that they were that short but they are working quite well with a "baby" clematis plant but won't work once it gets as big as it should. Meantime, they did the trick of letting it expand and grown nicely from roots and giving it something to climb on. I only wish they were taller.......will have to replace them eventually but they are great for now.

i needed a trellis for my indoor pothos to climb since there wasn't place for them to trail. this was just what i needed! it is made out of metal and it a little heavy which i appreciate. i am able to balance it against my blinds tho as you see in the photo without damaging my blinds.

I ordered these for a potted vined plant. They are metal with a smooth coating, are very sturdy and have decorative curves to the tops. They came as a pair, such a deal and great value.

I bought this valence for my rose bush that is growing like crazy. It’s the perfect size, pretty sturdy and serves its purpose well. And the fact that I have an extra one is a bonus! I will surely be using it as well as soon as one of my other plants decides to grow up!

This are smaller than I thought so make sure you read the dimensions, but it’s perfect for the plant I wanted. If it fits your needs in size, then you’ll love it.
