Excellent book.
Patricia Logan Oelwein gives not just a great guide to teaching reading to children with Down Syndrome but also the book gives you a great insight into learning in general. As a parent with a child who has Down Syndrome I found this book very encouraging and it gave me a much better understanding. It did really change the way I look learning e.g. Sucess is key. Try to avoid failure. No one likes to feel they are failing. The book helped me to look at the learning experience from my childs perspective. A great book.
