This is an excellently built tug that is my young GSD’s favorite play object. It gets very hard use during training sessions and walks, and has stood up to all the use with no sign of damage. The one unavoidable exception: The strap is gone, the result of a couple of minutes of inattention to what the pup was doing. It only took him that long to bite the strap off. I do not criticize the tug for that. The tug continues to be fully useful, but I will be buying another just like it soon, because the strap makes it easier to throw it.

I have used similar products in jute. This was my first time trying this product. It is as described. Tough, stands up to my large, aggressive bite/tugger. Stitching has not pulled lose, has not frayed. She has carried it around chomping it and it is still in great condition. I'm very pleased with it and will definitely use this product again. I would love to see one just a little bit longer.

i wouldn't say this is chew proof because you aren't supposed let them chew on this unsupervised(mentioned in the description i believe). It's relatively strong but my AmStaff was able to pull hard enough to start breaking the handle loose, and bites it hard enough that there is a single bite hole in it from one of her canine(sharper) teeth. As long as you are playing tug of war, it seems like it SHOULD hold up for a while but again.. depending on the bite your dog has and how rough they play, this may not last as long as you'd think

She absolutely loves it. But we’ve only had it for five days, and it’s already coming apart. And we have very closely followed the directions of not letting her use it as a chew toy.

Great and durable training tug, my malinois-pittie mix loves when any of his Bull Fit tugs come out! This is the first Bull Fit tug I purchased, and I use it for play and as a reinforcer for training. After a few months of regualr use I decided to purchase the slightly longer two-handle firehose tug from Bull Fit to give my hands and dog's teeth a little more real estate to coexist on, but this is still a wonderful tug that I will use when working with smaller dogs (~30-55 lbs) or if I'm want a more portable tug than the longer version when taking my dog to the park, on a hike, or just generally out and about. It's holding up wonderfully with minimal signs of wear for about 3 months of near-daily use, and 9 months of weekly use. The quality of the stitching and material seem really good. I've purchased a couple other of Bull Fit's tugs (the linen and the above-mentioned two-handle firehose tugs) for working with different dogs and they are of a similar high quality. I will continue to recommend/purchase Bull Fit tugs. Reminder to non-professionals and new trainers: this is a tug toy, not a chew toy, don't leave your dog to possess this after playing/training with you.

My one year old Golden Retriever ripped one end of this toy in five minutes. Then I took it to the water (it looks like it was meant for water retrieving). It is so light that it flutters in the air like a sheet of paper! It cannot be thrown more than 30 feet. This really confused the dog, who is used to swimming 50 yards!

I bought this toy 8 months ago and it is the ONLY toy my 90lb Golden has not destroyed in 24 hours or less! We play tug of war with it and she LOVES it. I don't usually give her full-time access to her toys as she can pretty much tear anything apart given time. For example, we've gone through 4 or 5 of the Nerf sling shot ducks. She can also nip the fuzz off of a tennis ball in about an hour! I usually just play with her with the toys and then put them up, so she doesn't destroy them. Well, she has full time access to this one and either she likes it so much she doesn't destroy it or it's just made that tough (a bit of both I suspect), but 8 months later it is still in tact. This represents, by far, the greatest dog toy investment I have ever made and I felt compelled to write this review. The other thing that I like about this particular toy is that while we can play fetch with it like with do with pretty much all of her other toys, playing tug of war with it is really fun for us and she enjoys the attention and exercise, which makes this toy rather unique when compared to all of the others. Have fun!

Listen. I bought this product and it’s incredible. The reviews on this are ridiculous. Read the discription. NOT A CHEW TOY!! In fact it even says it on the toy itself that has to be removed before use anyway. This is a training toy. My shepherd goes nots for this and helps in the training. It’s sold. Any toy can be destroyed if you don’t have a carpet sweeper for a pet. If I have it to my dogs to chew on they would eventually get through it. It’s for playing with and taking away and awarding with it for fun and good behaviour. If you want a chew toy buy a cheap one cause even the expensive ones real dogs will get through anyway. Then at least it’s cheap and you can get other. But if you want a well built trading toy that is indestructible for its purpose look no further. Great buy and great quality

This was a great toy for a few freshwater trips. However after being used a second summer, I took it to the beach 3 times and it sunk. Never to return. As a tug toy, it was a let down as it must be put away as per pre- purchase information, however the holes made by big teeth O believe contributed to it sinking in the ocean floor. Unfortunately just another piece of very over priced rubbish on the ocean floor, or may eventually wash up on a beach somewhere else. My dog was so disappointed to not have her toy today at the beach. Save your money. Esp if you're expecting quality that will last. Very disappointed. I have recieved a full refund however so A+ to Amazon staff.

I purchased this toy 4 months ago for my 1 yr old 100lbs Daniff/Pitbull and it's still in great shape. I always put it away when we're done using it and my dog still to this day gets really excited when I bring it out. He plays fetch with it, tug of war and likes running, leaping through the air and grabbing it out of my hands. The handle on mine is still in perfect shape after many a game of tug. If I ever lose it or my dog manages to destroy it I'll definitely order another, well worth the money.

My dogs love these. Just dont leave them around to chew on. Use it as a high value visual training aid. Floats too sp perfect for ponds, lakes and the beach.

Purchase this for my dog. She loves playing fetch and tug. Seems durable. Met my expectations
