The puzzle pieces were cut in such a way that if offered a challenge. It was fine to work on when ever I had free time. There were 3 or 4 broken pieces. But did manage to place them down in the puzzle.This was a Christmas gift to myself this year.

I've fallen in love with thick, wooden puzzles like this one. The kind with uniquely shaped pieces that are really satisfying to slide into place. I think the picture on this one is just okay, but it's still better than a prettier picture on a more traditional jigsaw puzzle, in my opinion.Some of these puzzles also come in a fancy box and have some small extras, but that obviously costs more money to make, and I'm not sure the price difference is always justified. This does have a picture of the puzzle's image included, which is particularly nice since the image on the box is rather small.This puzzle is relatively small and doesn't have a lot of pieces, so you don't have to clear out a large space for it and leave it for days. You could do it on a coffee table in an evening. I don't see that often in puzzles intended for adults.Traditional puzzles are great, and these aren't about to replace them. These puzzles can get expensive fast if you buy them regularly. But the experience of assembling one of these with thick, irregular pieces feels like the experience jigsaws should have had all along. If you enjoy jigsaw puzzles and haven't tried one of these yet, get on it!

 This is a lovely puzzle. The image is clearly printed and the colors are bright. The sturdy pieces (made of well-glued plywood) are not the standard puzzle shape; instead, they are all crazy shapes. The pieces fit together easily but snugly. As shown in the listing photos, the border is uneven, which adds to the challenge. Many affordable wooden puzzles come with a small image (even smaller than a postcard!) image to guide puzzlers. The guide image for this puzzle unfolds to a very helpful 8” x 8”, which is not that much smaller than the puzzle itself (which is 10.6” x 10.6”). The size of the puzzle is nice because sometimes we don’t have room to set up a large puzzle.
 We really like the design of this puzzle. This puzzle earns 3.5 stars but would have been a solid 5-star except that the edges of many pieces have rubbed off, creating a white edge that is not part of the design. My husband says that happens to most puzzles as you put them together. I do not agree with him. I am disappointed that it happened the first time we assembled it. Maybe I am inordinately disappointed because I love the puzzle so much. See the attached photo -- the white lines are the edges of the pieces (though not all pieces have edges rubbed off this way). There are also a couple white spots where the image has chipped off. This white edges/spots happened before the puzzle was finished being assembled the first time. In any case this puzzle is lovely, and is challenging enough without being disheartening. And since the colors are fun, we don’t mind having to study the pieces for a long time.

I love puzzles and finding a puzzle that doesn't require a huge amount of space to assemble, while remaining challenging is well...challenging.This is a small puzzle of only 230+ pieces, but the intricate cuts and irregular pieces is what gives this puzzle its unique brand of challenge.And, it really is a very VERY nice puzzle. The pieces fit together nicely and are thick wood that can be assembled and displayed easily. The colors are vibrant and sharp. I took a picture of a couple of pieces being assembled in the beginning.If I decide to display this, and I probably will, I'll do a little research and make sure that I accommodate for the weight of wood versus cardboard.But, first, I have a puzzle to assemble!

The picture is beautiful and the shapes make this puzzle a challenge, both important qualities for a puzzle fanatic.The pieces wiggle a little, and there are spots on the edges where the paint is coming off.Overall, not perfect but still a fun challenge.

I love wood puzzles. This one so far is not as easy as it seems. Lots of the same tone of color and harder to work with but I don't like easy puzzles. Love the odd shapes of each piece which makes it so much fun to do.

This puzzle is really awesome. The pieces are well cut and fit together perfectly. The design is clean and well done. Feels very durable and should last a long time. Couldn't ask for a better product at this price.

Wooden puzzles are very satisfying and this is a vibrantly colored one with interesting piece shapes. The paint is wearing a little on some of the edges of pieces however. It's not my favorite puzzle image but the colors are vibrant and fun to work with. It's a less expensive wooden puzzle. Unfortunately, ours also arrived with the bottom of the box smashed in but it still holds pieces without spilling so we won't complain this time.
