Works perfectly!
I've had great luck with this sealer. Totally satisfied and it does make my bags air tight. You can't beat it at this price. I've used it over 100 times so far and the heat is consistent and it's very simple to use. I would definitely recommend it to home based business owners who need an inexpensive sealer. I've been using this for the last several months and it still works very well. This is a great product.

Works great for the cheap price and construction
Works very well, but is definitely a cheap import. Plastic housing, so be careful to not break it! And the pin holding the bar in place works itself out fairly regularly (nothing is holding it in). Outside of that, it does exactly what it is supposed to do, was cheap (so I knew what I was getting into) and the heater is easy to replace (which you will need to do if you do a lot of packaging). We bag up hundreds of poly bags a week, and have only had to replace the element once--so can't complain there!

better heat sealers out there
This heat sealer was not what I expected. I was looking for a quick way to seal cello bags for our baked goods. This heat sealer has to be manually pressed down over the bag for at least 10 seconds....even then the seal was often not complete, and the bag would re-open. Additionally this sealer seals in a single, thin line whereas other sealers create multiple parallel lines in their seal for a stronger and more attractive closure. I went online to return this item, and unfortunately I missed the return window by one day. Bummer. Waste of $.

get a better one!
Im a Chef I have been for many years and I have used many Impulse sealers this one needs a little work.. Spend a couple extra bucks (PRIME) style and get a name brand model instead of the box arriving saying CHINA on the side.

Works great. I had a cheaper brand that didn't hold up. This one holds up to a lot of use and the rebuild kit is easy to install when the sealer area finally burns through (after about a year of hard use).

Got this for my kitchen counter...
I had a vacuum sealer. I found that I never used the vacuum function, just the sealer. I reseal commercial packaging for cereal, cookies, meat, tacos, frozen veggies etc. But the vacuum sealer is expensive, takes up a lot of space, it's slow, loud and has a problem sealing packages that are lumpy, have uneven edges or are almost empty. This machine is great. Silent, very quick, takes up less space on the counter and is much more tolerant of lumpy or small packages, or edges that are not cut evenly. And it's less than half the price of a vacuum sealer. I haven't found anything that WAS heat sealed that I can't reseal. Also, no buying expensive quilted bags because I'm squeezing out the air and resealing the original packaging. It comes with two replacement elements and Teflon strips. With my light usage, I'll probably never need to use them.

You Get What You Pay For
The sealer works great but make sure to adjust the intensity on a equal piece of plastic before you start trying to seal things up. The body is made of cheap plastic, so don't drop it. But all in all the sealer works great for sealing things, if you want a tough metal body you will pay for it, just be careful and everything will be ok.
