The timeless tale of The Phantom of the Opera brought to life as never beforeโฆ Christine Daaรฉ arrives penniless and hopeless at the steps of the great Paris Opera House, in search of an angel. What finds her instead is a man in a mask named Erik, a tortured soul masquerading as a ghost. Fascinated by Christine, Erik dons a new mask to be close to her: that of the Angel of Music. This strange patron awakens Christine's voice and soul...as well as desires she cannot understand. Their adoration growing, Erik and Christine remain separated by deception and darkness, tangled in a web of lust and lies. How far will Erik go to be close to his eager student? And will Christine be able to forgive her angel when she finally sees past his mask to the monster beneath? The first novel in The Phantom Saga takes readers on a lush, erotic journey from the depths of Paris's catacombs to the glittering, ruthless world of the Opera's stage. Full of diverse characters, rich detail, and intoxicating romance, Angel's Mask reinvents the legend of the Phantom and Christine with passion and twists that will leave readers breathless. Review: A happy customer - My wife loves this, that's all you need to know! She's a bookworm! Review: The book I've waited my whole life for.... - I have just finished "Angel's Mask" (The Phantom Saga: Book One) by Jessica Mason and felt compelled to instantly write a review (something I usually forget to do). My only complaint is with myself; That I didn't read it sooner! As an Avid "Phantom of the opera" fan, I sometimes feel a little caution to read or view new material, in case it doesn't live up to the internal hype of the obsessive fan that I am. I WAS THRILLED by every page and absolutely admired the clear level of time and research that had gone into so many aspects of the writing. I was reading a book, written by someone with as much love for the story as myself, and that is impressively evident throughout. I laughed, I cried and I annoyed everyone in my life with how excited I was to be reading about the Phantom, in a way that I had always wanted to. I can't thank the author enough for bringing this to life for the world - I am about to start book two.... I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND - Don't wait like I did...

Wondeful new version of Phantom
I love this reimagined version of Phantom of the Opera. Iโve always been team Erik, so definitely a fan of this saga. Jessica does a wonderful job at describing the internal conflict in Erikโs heart. He has been hurt a lot his whole life, but he still wants to be a good person for Christine. I have all the books in the saga, and I canโt wait to read the next one.

great read
Wow this is an amazing read and I hope the phantom is able to keep hold of Cristina in the next book. This book is better than the film by Andrew Lloyd Webber

The book has very strong language and is explicit
This was not to my taste at all. I have been Phantom of the Opera fan for 30 years and I couldn't finish this book. It started off interestingly and I thought I would enjoy it. But the language and the sexually explicit language was vulgar and not to my taste. I couldn't bear to read it.

If you like The Phantom of The Opera, there are betters ones out there....
Where do I start?......If you like The Phantom of The Opera, just dont. This book feels like the writter just wanted to include herself in all the characters at once, and the ones she didnt wanted to be self inserts, she just turned them into REALLY terrible people. The intimate scenes, just 1 out of the, idk maybe 5 or 6 was justified..... Girl you say you like The Phantom of The Opera but It seems you dont even know the most simple things about the characters, SPECIALLY ERIK. You can LITERALLY name him, idk, Miguel, and I can assure you I would have NEVER guessed he was a Phantom. He is just Erik bc of the name and thats it.

The version of the Phantom of the Opera I always wished for
I have always loved the Musical, but the original book felt not quite right to me. There was too much left in the dark, and the story was not completely round. This version is so much better in my opinion, we have so much more details and can see what moves the characters, which makes it so much deeper, more entertaining and relatable. I really look forward to reading the next parts!

The Best Phantom book ever
This book is everything I've ever wanted to read about The Phantom of the Opera and never found. The setting of the story is fantastic and the characters are very interesting. Every time I can I reread my favorite chapters.
