Dreamaway Waterproof Mattress Protector, Twin

I have now had a wet accident to be able to give you a review of the protection this cover provides. It was a BIG one. My little dog has canine cushings and is why I bought this cover. Some times when he is sleeping his bladder will empty without him knowing. Well it happened when I had to stay with my grandmother all night without coming home. A large urine puddle in the middle of my bed that had been there for hours! I removed it thinking there was no way it had kept this off the mattress. But to my surprise and amazement it protected completely! Nothing had gone through. And washing it was simple except for having to rearrange it in my drier few times to get it dry. Also, this cover is so comfortable. As others have said, you do have to buy a larger size than your mattress. Because of previous reviews, I bought a queen size for my double bed and am so happy I did. There is no crinkly noise as with other waterproof mattress covers. It is fluffy, soft and comfortable. I wouldn't trade this for any other mattress cover even if I didn't need the waterproof cover.

I've had way too many mattresses ruined by various types of "accidents" on my mattresses, so when my two young grandsons came to live with me, I made sure to buy these mattress protectors for their new mattresses. They have a soft quilted material on the top and a soft plastic underneath. I had plastic mattress protectors on my own children's beds before, but they were thin plastic and always "crinkled" when you sat or laid on the bed. I was happy to see that there is a higher quality protector available now; these don't make crinkle noises, you wouldn't know they were waterproof unless you look. AND I've had them "tested" already and my mattress was totally protected. They wash and dry with no breakdown of the product (no cracking or peeling). They fit great! I'm very happy with this item.

I have three dogs who hang out wherever I do. After previously choosing 2 sofas which proved too overstuffed to accommodate me and the three, the light bulb finally came on: I need a daybed! So I got one and ordered this mattress protector. It looked good and I got the added waterproof protection, especially since I am using the daybed as a sofa.The protector fit beautifully over the top foam mattress and definitely provides extra comfort for me and the schnauzers. This mattress protector is much "poofier" than others I have purchased. So, in addition to the extra added comfort, if I spill some coffee while I am relaxing on the daybed - no worry.I may have to go back and get this protector for my real bed!

I bought a twin for my son's mattress. He hasn't spilled any liquid on his bed yet so I don't know if it is really waterproof. I like that it is a bit fluffy and not totally flat. I bought it about two months ago and it still looks great. There is only one negative thing I can say about it: the length is about 1 1/2 to 2 inches short (the width is fine). Other than that, I think it is a great mattress protector.Update: Three years later, I am happy to report that the mattress protector is still in a great shape: not a single tear. (My son jumps on his bed.)

The product advertisement claims this full sized protector will fit UP TO a 15 inch mattress. I do personally find this to be very misleading advertising.The materials feel new and exotic in the mattress protection category, even though it's just polyester... the padding is on the thick side compared to the average protector on the market... for the same cost as a standard unpadded one. The padding is soft and the whole product feels silky to the touch. Additionally, when I first put the protector on, there was faint crinkling sounds... however, since the protector has been on for a bit, and it has had time to warm to room temp and settle... I am not noticing a crinkle sound at all... will probably even improve after first wash... but don't put in dryer on hot! May take longer to dry, but it wont melt or deform on you from heat.Almost sounds like I have to give it more stars... but, as I said before, product is supposed to fit a FULL mattress UP TO 15 inches deep. I put this on my mattress and it was a stretch to make it fit... the corners wrap around, but the sides arch up and do not cover the sides. For all you myth-busters out there, I will explain why I believe the UP TO 15 INCH comment is a ruse to get more folks to buy mattress protector... many do not believe they can return items easily - or at all - and/or just dont want to hassle with a return, since for many, 25 bucks might not be a big deal to them. Thus allowing the manufacturer to make more profit on unreturned, unwanted items from the consumer... However, I own a cheap Serta Perfect Sleeper... on the lower end of their line. Usually lower-budget mattresses tend to be smaller than higher-budget mattresses. This is because no mattress company these days sticks true to what 'standard is.' The dimensions given are a basic estimate at best. Now, considering I have a smaller mattress, that at its fluffiest point can only be 11 inches, at best; and the mattress protector is an extremely snug fit on MY mattress... I find it impossible that this mattress would ever fit a true FULL size mattress deeper than 9 to 10 inches.I myself am one who is not satisfied with the product's size, as I have to be able to fit the protector over not just my mattress, but a 2 inch memory foam topper, too. I am going to give this one to my mother for her bed, since she can use one, or else I would myself return the product. I am going to attempt sizing up to a queen and see how it fits, as the rest of the product is fantastic!Update... since receiving my mem-foam topper, I have decided to just keep this full and not size up. The protector is fitting around the corners (sort-of) but it archs up on all sides. Will use it for a bit and see if it STAYS in place... if it does, then it's doing its job and I will keep. I also do not believe this cover is as breathable as it claims... I have noticed I am much hotter at night... but not the good warm, the sweaty/clammy warm. Still, I am going to keep because I need a protector and the extra padding makes up for it :)I have uploaded pictures. They can be accessed through my profile. My bed is approx. 11 inches deep, 53 inches wide, and 75 inches long at its biggest/fluffiest parts. My topper is 2 inches thick. As you can see in my pics, they're full of crap 'up to' 15 inches, as it barely fit my bed before the topper was added.UPDATE 1/9/14... RETURNED ITEM... I really liked the cover, but after the third night in a row of waking up multiple times in a puddle of sweat I removed the product from my bed. Last night I slept without it and NOT ONCE did I break into sweat. Returned item for refund. This waterproof protector made me sweat just as bad as any other, therefore, I believe their advertising is inacurate to claim better than others in the breathable category.

These are great mattress protectors. I purchased this primarily to protect my memory foam mattress topper from sweat. My memory foam topper traps my body heat and causes me to sweat when I sleep. I purchased other waterproof mattress protectors but they usually made too much "noise" and crinkling sounds and caused me to sweat even more. I purchased this particular mattress protector because a majority of the reviews claimed that it was quiet. To my very pleasant surprise not only was it quiet it keeps me much cooler and eliminated the trapped body heat problem caused by the foam topper. It is also nicely padded and feels very comfortable. I can't honestly speak of how well it protects from water, but I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Quite comfortable to sleep on. Thick enough to provide a bit of padding, but not so thick that it takes away from the firmness of the mattress underneath it.It fit our queen size mattress perfectly even though it's quite thick.I haven't been able to test out the leak-proof function yet (probably a good thing), but the material at the bottom of the stack definitely feels like it'll be waterproof.The first couple of nights sleeping on it, I felt really hot and I was worried that I had made a mistake with this purchase. Within a few days though my body seemed to adjust to it.If you're looking for more reviews on this product, check out Amazon.com instead of Amazon.ca. They appear to have the exact same product listed there, but due to the larger volumes you get a lot more opinions.
