Great finish, great neck, good pickups and good frets
Ordinarily I would be hesitant to give five stars to a guitar at this price point, but this one truly fits the "I love it" five-star criterion. I have restrung it with Ernie Ball "Skinny Top, Heavy Bottom" strings, and it is holding tune well. It sounds great through a Fender Champion 40 amp.The finish is not a gold close to the finish on a Gibson (or Epiphone) Gold Top or Gibson All-Gold. That "buillion gold" on those guitars has always appeared to me to be pleasingly pale, almost greenish. This guitar's gold finish leans more toward orange (in fact it is close to the color of the rating stars that accompany these reviews! :-) ). That said, it is a very attractive finish and I have found only one tiny flaw, a pinhole in the finish on the top of the cutaway horn. A drop of polyurethane on a toothpick and then some polishing will take care of it well.Like the Gibson All-Gold guitar, the gold on this one is not just on the top of the body. It is on the back and sides of the body, the back of the neck, and the back of the headstock.I play mostly with a clean tone on the neck pickup and the guitar sounds great to me. The pickups sound very full and fairly strong. The neck is the most interesting thing about the guitar. It is substantial, with a hand-filling profile. I own a 2009 Gibson Les Paul Custom and a 2008 Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top, and this neck is thicker than the ones on those guitars. I really like it. Despite being a bit larger than the necks on my other similar guitars, it is quite comfortable for me.The neck is bound, and the fret ends are very well finished. The guitar was not double boxed when it arrived and there was a puncture hole in the side of the box. Nevertheless, the guitar was in good shape out of the box.I love guitars and have played for decades. I collect guitars that appeal to me and I assemble and modify electric guitars and basses, so I believe I know quality in a guitar. This guitar is of shockingly good quality for the price I paid.

Solid instrument! Great value!
This guitar is a very nice instrument for the money. I am a professional musician (guitar is not my main instrument) and I was looking for an instrument that was decently built, but didn’t break the bank. This instrument played pretty well out of the box, and holds its intonation pretty well. Includes a carrying case (flimsy, but better than nothing), patch cable, pick (also flimsy; mine broke after mere minutes of vigorous playing), an Allen wrench for truss rod adjustments and two spare strings (B and e).However, I give the instrument four stars because the pickups are rather questionable. While they do work on a basic level, the ability to make fine adjustments to the settings is nonexistent (The potentiometers work basically as an on/off switch with no in-between). One might change them for higher quality electronics. My guitar also arrived with a couple of scrapes and dings, which I attribute to the shipping process. They are on the back of the guitar, and I was able to conceal them pretty easily.Overall, this is a solid, easy to play guitar, suited for a hobbyist or even a serious musician on a budget looking to have a Les Paul-style guitar. It might even be good as a super cheap backup for a guitarist.

Don't matter to me that this guitar is inexpensive I enjoy playing it regardless of the price tag
I've seen reviews online knocking this guitar? For the cheap price I thought it was pretty decent and quite the looker too! Your going to have to pay if you want a high end hollow body so save your pennies but if you can deal with it then this is pretty good value for the money.Has the feel of my Les Paul without the weight.

Garbage guitar made of particle board
This is garbage guitar. It looks impressive, but once you look closer the initial awe fades quickly.First off, the finish around the rear strap button is chipped of along with a matching hole in the case. It looks like the box was dropped HARD. More on the finish: LOTS of fine scratches all over the body and thin finish on the outer edges of the body. Every single screw is in crooked with most also being looseMechanically, 2 of the tuners are extremely tight, borderline unusable. The bridge and tail piece escutcheons don't fit flush with the body as the holes aren't drilled deep enough. The neck has excessive bow that can't be taken out because the truss rod is rounded off. The frets are rough and uneven. The volume pots only work from 0-4 with an extremely rapid roll off. Tone pots seem to do almost nothing. The frets are so uneven that there is fret buzz at 3 different locations on the board. The pickups seem usable but sound a bit muddy as well as being microphonic. The nut isn't cut correctly, string spacing isn't quite wide enough. The pickups aren't centered in the body as the strings are 1/8 of an inch misaligned with the pickup pole pieces. The absolute WORST part is the body and top material. The description says the top is made of Ash Wood and the body of swamp ash. IT IS NOT!!! After opening up the control cavity to look at the pots, its evident that the body and top are made of particle board. I scraped at the body material and it turned to fuzz and dust the same way particle board does. No need to scrape at the back of the top as the sloppy routing job SHOWS that its particle board. This guitar is a complete piece of garbage... It's a 50/50 instrument- It looks good from 50 feet or 50 miles per hour.Save your money and buy an Epiphone

Nice guitar but too many problems for me
The guitar had a great clean sounds. Good pick ups and electronics. Where the neck was glued onto the body was the problem there. And the frets below the 13th fret had manufacturing problems which created too much fret buzz to fix. I figure the buzz sound problems were due to the ill fitted neck and body joint.

Excellent guitar!
Very versatile guitar and easy to change the sound around with various setting, etc. Changed the strings to Elixir strings and this baby was ready to rock! Nice finish and appears to be well made. An excellent value for the money. More versatile than a solid body in terms of sound.
