MAD CATZMCZ G.L.I.D.E.5 Gaming Surface (PC DVD)

As expected, solid product from Mad Catz. The mat is very big, it's well suitable for playing counter-strike with low sensitivity. The texture looks rather stylish in real life, not all freaky as I though it would. Laser mouse works very well on this on any dpi setting and tracking remains smooth even for subtle movements, as well as precise for fast hand moves. One star down as the edges are not stitched so the fraying is inevitable. Quite surprising for this brand, but very normal for a mat of this price-range (cca. £15).Pros: BIG stylish quality fabricCons: some fraying after months of use

Have been using this mouse mat for over 4 years and haven't had to replace it. I game everyday and can guarantee this mouse mat has had a hard time, however it still feels as smooth to use as on day one. Over the 4 years the edges have frayed a TINY bit, but nothing noticeable at a glance, and nothing that affects its usage, and the bottom is still as grippy as ever. The only reason I'm parting ways with this mouse mat is because of it's radical pattern on the top that I used to love, however I have since bought new PC components and It now doesn't fit in. It still works perfectly fine and I'd continue using it if it was black. Great mouse mat overall, you cant go wrong for the price here

Worked fine straight out of the box, needed to clear a bit of room on my desk though as it was bigger than I really needed it to be.The tracking and feel of the gaming surface was much better than my standard one but I wouldn't say it was amazing, I would prefer a little more glide.I would have kept this nevertheless apart from two major problems.The gaming surface is extremely thin and the bottom sticks like glue which lends to a few problems. One being that when you place it on your desk you have to make sure the surface is completely clean otherwise you will get tonnes of air bubbles that are hard to work out of the gaming surface, and once you have positioned it you literally have to peel it off the desk again to move it around.Unfortunately, mine got so badly stuck to my desk that part of it tore through when I was trying to get rid of a few air bubbles, and left a big nasty hole in the middle of the material. x(I've had to send it back because of this. I really can't see a need to make it as thin as it is - given that it is so big it is unlikely that you are going to catch the edge with your mouse having wandered off from the surface.I love this series of pc equipment and I'm very impressed with the RAT 9 and other peripherals, so I really expected better.

Had a few tracking responsiveness issues with my M.M.O. 7 so I decided to try one of the brand's mat instead of my standard old stuff. While in theory modern mice shouldn't have any problem with multiple types of surfaces, it did make a small difference. Since the mat is quite thin and comes rolled in a small rectangular box, I expected it to curl for a while: I was pleasantly surprised that it did not.

Do reviews for my clansite 'thenitwitts'. I really took to this. Huge and well worth the money. Looks much better in the flesh than in pics especially in the half light gamers usually play in. It gives a very smooth glide if that's your bag and did very in game with this. Frankly generally get everything Madcatz bring out. Got the Glide 7 silicon as well and the Glide te. The Glide 5 uses the most classic material of the three, that kind of silky polyester but it still has a control side to it. It does'nt move an inch, mainly because it's just massive. For the price a steal.

Great surface when combined with a Mad Catz Rat 1 mouse. Nice and large footprint too. I use for photo editing not gaming but it's very good for this usage too. Only downside is it comes rolled up in its box but it hasn't flattened down completely yet.

I use this mouse pad with my Mad Catz R.A.T. 5, man it looks sweet and its a perfect combination.The mouse slides so smoothly and exactly how you want it to. The size is perfect for any gamer imo (depends on you ofc and the space you have). I have also used Razer Goliathus (same size as this) and this Mad Catz mousepad is a perfect competitor.. I would suggest this to any gamer that needs precision, fast clicking and something to look good on your gaming desktop :) Enjoy !

a great mouse mat, nothing too fancy but you don't really need anything more than this, a good size for those who like low or high dpi, and manages to look good aswell
