Good Purchase and Mechanism is Sturdy.
Nothing fancy, just an air register. when building my basement I took the time to frame in support for these so I had something sturdy to fasten them to.The mechanism to open/close them was a little stiff at first but they are robust enough to last forever without becoming broken or damaged.Good purchase.

Air blows right through that sucker.
I liked the fact that it let's air blow through it. Whether cold or hot it doesn't matter the air just BLASTS through. The user needs to know a few basics when installing this vent such as how to put in a metal screw to keep it from falling from the ceiling. If someone were to be looking up at the moment it fell it could put your eyes out so make sure to secure it to the ceiling. Don't just screw it into the sheetrock but to something behind the sheetrock. If you have any questions refer to YouTube.

Low profile but not quite compatible.
This was the closest to the size needed for under the cabinet ventilation ducts available from big box stores. Only problem was the width of the 3”x10” item was not compatible with the 3-14/“x10” duct and would not screw in tightly. I had to modify the duct to be narrower to accept the face plate screws.

Poor quality but quick customer service
Ordered two One worked fine, the other would not open or close. As I attempted to return item, I was told I did not need to return it and the company would replace it at no charge. The replacement came next day. However the slide opener on this one was still stiff. Attempts to install were challenging as the slide mechanism became tighter as I screwed the vent to the wall. I had to adjust the screws and the tightness several times so the slide opener would still allow for some movement, albeit, still very stiff and challenging. I just decided to keep it as I have two vent supplies in that room. I would not purchase this again. Problem is a 3x10 vent is hard to find. I was stuck.

Solid Built but screws are not even painted white.
I bought two of these for a basement register. They are solid built but both come with silver screws for a white register duct. I will have to go out and get screws that match properly. Wouldnt recommend for quick solution unless you don't mind the screws not matching.

outside edges too small
Two major problems with these:1. The vent slider is below the surface of the grates making it necessary to adjust it with a pair of needle nose plyers rather than the actual slider, which should be able to open and close the vent flaps.2. The mount holes for the screws are way to close to the vent opening so, if your vent saddle is even slightly longer than 10" when you put the vent register in the ceiling and try to mount it, it doesn't hit the drywall or anything solid.I used a bit of double sided tape to keep them up. we'll see how long it lasts.

Great for toe kick register using a 3.25x10 stack duct.
I retrofitted a toe-kick register under my kitchen cabinets and used this for the vent. I used a 3.25x10 stack duct which this vent fit into perfectly. I would recommend to anyone that would like to do this without spending the extra money on some of the available kits. I also couldn't lift the cabinets as you have to with the other ones, so I cut a hole and slid it in, hooking a duct underneath to connect to the system. In the picture, the only thing I still have to do it a hole in the finishing trim for the back of the toe kick area, and install that.

Don;t buy - They do not work as a ceiling vent
I bought 2 of these, I know they are cheap, but they don't not work a cieling vent. When inverted (like you would for ceiling mount) the baffle falls closed. There is no resistant to the flow adjuster, it slides freely, so when you install it, it just flaps closed. I brought 2, they both do this. These are some terrible knock off product. Serves me right buying the cheap ones. They look the part, but don't function. Unless you want your cieling duct vents always closed, then they will work fine. One of the two came bent up, it was internal component, so not from shipping. Spend the extra 3 bucks and buy one that works from home depot. Not worth the hassle to try and return, but I regret the purchase.

Arrived beaten up
Three out of the four I ordered were fine, but the fourth had the packaging torn off of it, was visibly scratched and beaten up, missing the screws, and was so bent that it wouldn’t fit on the ceiling.

perfect
fit's perfectly and is made of a heavier metal - so it's in snug and sound and looks great
