King ColeYummy Chunky Supersoft Knitting Yarn 100g (Raspberry Ripple 2213)

I have used this to crochet a blanket for my daughter. I ordered 3 balls of this wool and the first one was beautiful! It was soft and full, however, I have just moved on to the second ball and there are chunks of missing wool, it's thinner and more 'straggly' than the first and it is full of knots where the yarn has obviously broken in places and been tied together. The second ball is still very soft but, due to the chunks of missing wool, it makes what I am crocheting a lot less voluminous, so it is a little disappointing. I have yet to break into the 3rd ball, though I seriously hope it is more like the first and not the second.

This has to be THE softest yarn I've ever worked with - it really is like crocheting with baby bunny! The yarn is perfect, no knots or bald bits, and it works up beautifully. The recommended hook size is 6mm but I'e gone up a size after checking my tension, something I always do and it pays in the long run, as ripping out with this yarn can be tricky. You have to do it very carefully as it can shed a little.I'm making a pair of socks for my best friend and I'm sure she'll be thrilled with them. as they're so cuddly. In fact I'm just about to order some more....I can't resist!
