Exactly as Described
This turned out exactly how I wanted and were easy to put up. My 5 year old son and I stuck these to the wall together and it turned out great. The hardest part was pulling the paper backing off the tiny adhesive squares, this definitely took the longest. We made a 4 x4 square area for all our scheduled and school calendars. They have been attached to the wall now for about 2-3 months and are working perfectly.

Excellent, but think before installing....
These squares are nice quality, well made, and look WAY better than a standard cork board. A couple of hints that may make your installation smoother than it could be.... use a level to tape a string on the wall to align the first row of squares, then follow the instructions in whatever pattern you like. The adhesive squares go on the back of the boards, but peeling off the white backing from them, to stick them on the wall can be a huge pain - I found that a needle-sharp tweezer enabled me to peel the backing off the adhesive pads far easier than trying to do it with fingers. Other than that hassle, these squares are worth it, as they look great in a classy office. I will be buying more, to expand my installation. Yes, a little higher priced than other options, but they look great.

Classy Looking Nice Thick Bulletin Board Tiles
I picked this up for my office remodel as I'm looking for a good versatile project board.Pros:These are rigid felt boards that measure about 1 centimeter in thickness allowing ample depth for thumb tacks. Because these are rigid and thick, thumbtacks do not meet the wall surface. These are fairly easy to install as they are rigid. Attach adhesive squares, position tile and stick. Adhesive squares work well.Versatile. Because these are 11.8 inch squares, and you have 12 of them, it allows you to play around with board sizes or use individually. One edge of these is beveled giving it a nice finished look or place this portion on the bottom for a continuous flat surface. While I haven't tried this as of yet, product advertises that adhesive stripes can be easily removed with out damaging wall surface. It appears the use the same method of removal as "Command Stripes" which also most likely could be used to replace these if you wished to mount the boards elsewhere.Because these are basically thick rigid felt pin holes do not show like regular cork board and they look like they are less likely to wear out like cork and do not crack and peel like cork does allowing for a nice long life. The color is pretty neutral. It does not distract from items placed on the board and also works in pretty much any color scheme and themed room.It comes with all mounting hardware, good directions for installation AND removal, and a pretty large box of thumb tacks.Cons:The only issues I have with this kit is that the manufacturer only sent just enough adhesive corner stripes for all 12 tiles so if you screw one up you are out the hang stripe/s. Additionally, while one side is attached to the large sheet of wax paper and thus easy to remove, the other side requires some patience and finger nails making it a little more time consuming and difficult of an install. While also a 'pro' in my book, one side of these does have a beveled edge. You will need to be vigilant when installing the adhesive stripes to that you put them on the right side of these tiles based on your install needs. If you mix the bevel and flat surfaces of these tiles you are going to get indents. As you only have the exact amount of adhesive stripes with kit, you don't want to waste them on an improper install. Heads up!Overall I think this is a great bulletin board kit that looks and functions awesome. For the present price of $36.99 I feel this is well with in fair market value considering smaller cork boards with short lives are twice as much. I'm pleased.

Attractive and versatile alternative to traditional cork board
First of all, from a visual standpoint, these tiles are head and shoulders above your standard corkboard. If you're looking for something sharper and less utilitarian-looking than cork, you can't go wrong with this...for several reasons:1.) Classic yet Contemporary Look – The grey felt looks surprisingly sleek. I was a little afraid that it would look too modern in my more traditional office, but it works extremely well and looks both sleek and sophisticated. However, I could see this working just as well in an ultra-modern environment too.2.) Versatile Design – The fact that it comes as 12 individual self-adhesive squares (as opposed to one large pre-assembled board) was a huge selling point for me, because it means that you can customize the layout for your own needs/space. I currently have them placed on my office wall 4 squares wide by 3 squares tall, but I toyed with a staggered zig-zag design or splitting it into 2 smaller boards.3.) Easy To Install – From start to finish, it only took me about 15 minutes to unbox the product and install all the squares in my office. I was kind of amazed at how quickly the process went. The hardest part was removing the paper backing from the self-adhesive squares (for which I needed tweezers).4.) No Permanent Wall Damage – I live in an apartment, so I LOVE the fact that putting this up will not damage the wall in any way. I haven't tested the claims of damage-free removal yet, but the self-adhesive squares feel as though they provide just enough adhesion to keep the board on the wall without permanently bonding to the surface, so I'm inclined to believe that they'll come off the wall cleanly.5.) Not Intended for Textured/Uneven Walls, But Works Great on Mine – I missed the line in the product listing that indicates that the self-adhesive squares are not meant for certain wallpapers or textured, rough, or uneven surfaces, because the walls in my office are all of the above. I only discovered this caveat when unboxing the felt tiles, so I figured I was out of luck, but I decided to try it out anyway since the texturing on my walls is fairly minimal. Thankfully, it seems to be working great so far! I've had no issues at all since installing it a few weeks ago. The felt tiles are still holding strong, even when the board is fully loaded with tacks and documents. While it's technically not meant to work with textured surfaces, it seems to do OK with light texturing anyway ... at least in my case. There are only a couple of exceedinly minor quibbles I have with this product, but neither are a particularly big deal to me:• As mentioned earlier, prying the paper from the back of the self-adhesive squares is an exercise in patience. Unless you have very long nails, I'd have a set of tweezers or a straight-edge handy to separate the adhesive from the paper.• The felt requires a little more force when inserting pushpins into it. It's not like putting a pin into a piece of cork, which allows the pin to glide in like butter with no resistance. However, I find that the felt requires a little more pressure to get it fully inserted and will often encounter *knots* or something in the fabric that provide occasional resistance. It's not an issue for me at all, but may be a consideration for those with less manual dexterity or chronic arthritis in the hands. At the end of the day, I've been extremely happy with the felt board! It looks great in my office, helps me get pending items off my desk and out of the way, and gives me the convenience of a corkboard with sleek and sophisticated twist. Love it! Highly recommended!
