100 Things for Little Children to Do on a Trip (Activity Cards)

These are cute little cards. Both my 7 year old and 3 year old enjoyed doing them on our recent car trip. Some were a better level for the 7 year old, and some were fine for the 3 year old. I would say the ideal age is around 4-6.They took more work from me helping manage them than I prefer to give on a car trip. (Passing cards back and forth, making sure they are wiped, making sure marker doesn't get all over everything, keeping them from spilling all over, sorting through to find ones my 3 year old could do and explaining to her how to do them, admiring the 7 year old's drawings, etc.) However, to me it was worth it to have an hour of non-electronic time.I did notice that the sticker price on the box is 9.99. I paid around 13 or 14$. If you can get these from an usborne consultant, that would be better. But then... prime shipping the night before you leave on a trip... hard to beat.

I bought this for my 5 yr old daughter for our cross country road trip. We pulled it out on a particularly long stretch through Texas. I only gave her a couple cards at a time since they are all just lose in a box. I wish they were held together somehow or had a better storage box. I think we lost a few and they got thrown around easily. The activities accommodate a wide range of ages - even my 2 yr old played a bit with them. It only comes with one dry erase pen so if you have more than one kid and want to minimize fighting I'd suggest buying another pen or two.There are 50 cards with activities on front and back - mazes, searches, drawing, etc. Even I played around a bit with them. All in all a good activity but I might try to figure out a better box or way to organize them together.

We got this for a plane trip to help keep a 3 yr. old and 5 yr. old occupied. It worked, and there were things that each could do, but they went through each card pretty fast. It isn't something that could keep their attention for very long, although maybe that's because neither really wanted to draw- and those are the activities that seem to take the longest. There are a variety of different activities: mazes, drawing, spot the difference, matching, etc. Overall, it was good, but I had hoped it would be a bit more engaging.

We really enjoy these activity cards. They offer a wonderful creative outlet and inspire the imagination. Makes for a great break from the DVD player on long car trips. I think they are also work at various different levels for different ages. I bought them when my daughter was three, and she enjoyed scribbling all over them and completing some of the pictures. Sometimes I would read her the "instructions" on the card and she may or may not be able to do what they asked. But now she is four and loves playing student/teacher and following the instructions. And next year she will be able to read the instructions by herself. The cards are durable and have held up well overall (though some have gotten trashed) and the pen wipes off easily for use over and over.

I'll confess - I originally bought these cards just so I could get over the limit for free shipping (wait, does that mean Amazon's techniques are working!?). They've turned out to be one of the best kid purchases we've ever made.We have a six-year-old and a four-year-old and they love them. The cards are portable, quiet, easily shared, quiet, require no batteries, . . . and did I mention they're quiet? :-) There's a huge variety of cards in the pack. Whenever we want the kids to have something to do for a short period, these are perfect - getting one dressed for swim class, at a soccer game, waiting to pick up at Daisies . . . and on car trips. Very glad we found them.

We got a box for our kids and a box for our nephews as a gift. These are great for traveling with kids. We punched holes in the corners and put them on a binder ring with a dry erase marker. Makes them easy to keep track of.

This exceeded my expectations! My six year old had a great time flipping through the cards and drawing, playing games, etc. Great road trip idea or if you need to entertain your little one in a hotel, family event, or elsewhere. I highly recommend!!

We bought these cards for our 4 year old, in prevision of a long international flight to the USA. They were excellent, and I would recommend them with dry-wipe pens of several colours. The combination of the cards and pens has been fantastic and has kept our son entertained for a few hours.
