Great starter kits for not a lot of money
FIRST - This is not a a paid review. I received no compensation nor discount for this product. I bought it, I tried it, I liked it, I rated it here. In August of 2016 I had a brain fart, "lets buy the boys guitars for Christmas" . We have 7 Grand-kids. the 4 boys came first, then 2 sweet little girls, and one still in the oven. I decided to buy one of these kits just to see if they were any good. WOW was I impressed. I have several guitars and I have play professionally ( and on worship tams for free) so I know what I want a guitar to sound like and feel like and play like. These knock off Stratacasters were just the ticket. After getting the first test guitar set up and tuned and after playing it for about an hour ( I like to play when the guitar is in tune) I ordered 2 more of these kits (2 blue, 1 green per the boys preference) and one junior kit for the youngest boy > RED Junior Kids Mini 3/4 Electric Guitar Amp Starter Pack, Guitar, Tremolo, Amplifier, Gig Bag, Strap, Cable, & DirectlyCheap(TM) Translucent Blue Medium Guitar Pick < TO be honest , right out of the box they played terrible. But I could easily see why -- they needed to be "Set Up". This is true for even new expensive guitars - they all need to be set up. This is the process of making sure the neck is aligned and not bowed, then adjusting all of the bridge pieces to get the correct string heights and make sure they are adjusted to the proper mathematical musical length. Depending on how badly these are not set up properly this can take an hour or two, but if you are even a novice player, if you can watch you tube, there are instructions galore on how to set up an electric guitar. Once I get these set up I was very impressed at the play-abiity and intonation of these great inexpensive instruments. For about $100 you (or a child) can be on your way to becoming a player. This is something that you can get a young child that if the interest wanes, just put in away in the closet and in a few years if an interest gets sparked again, its there and waiting for you to have another go at it. For reference, the age ranges of our boys are from 6 to 12. This guitar was just the right size for the 3 oldest and the shorter neck I review as well was the perfect size for the youngest one.( I neglected to consider how short his fingers are at this age, but he will grow into it, and have fun messing around with it until then.) These can carry them from total goof off novice toy to being able to really play in a band in thier youth and not have to buy an expensive Fender or Gibson till they are older and seem to be into playing as a real hobby ( or the next Eric Clapton). The Amp that comes with these is a nice little amp that will be plenty loud enough for starting out. You get everything in the kit to be jammin' right out of the box. I suggest getting the clip on tuner>Snark SN-5 Tuner for Guitar, Bass and Violin< and a pack of extra picks. My preference are standard size, medium to thin and if you can find the ones that aren't smooth they will be less likely to slip out of your fingers. As a player and former performer I recommend these units as a great way to get anyone started in playing music with very little expense. If you are not sure about doing the set up your self you can probably find someone in your local area to do this for you at reasonable cost. If you are in my area send me a message and we will see what we can do. In short these are well worth the money to invest in someones musical future!!!!! N8ACU

Good quality and playability for the price.
For the price, and excellent guitar. I haven't adjusted mine yet at all, and it plays well. I use it exclusively with a Boss Katana: Go and it sounds great; good tone and very playable. I have some Super Slinkys waiting to be strung, but the out of the box strings are still going strong quite awhile after purchasing. Perfect for sitting around with headphones and practicing (Tremelo bar is functional as well, doesn't throw it out of tune and isn't just for show like other cheap guitars).

Amazing starter guitar package, I love it
I've had this guitar for 11 days (counting today) and I love it. Definitely agree with everyone, restring your guitar as soon as possible because the replacement strings that they give you sound so much better than what the old ones that were already on. The process is easy, just take the back panel off, removing the 6 screws, and watch some Youtube videos on how to string your guitar. It helps. I didn't like how the whole package came with 2 Allan Wrenches because what am I going to use them for? Every bolt in my guitar is a screw, not a hexagon shaped screw. You need a screwdriver. >.> Whatever, great guitar to start off with. Whole package came with: 6 string electric BC guitar (22 frets), 1 thick black pick, strap, whammy bar, chord to plug into your amp, extra pair of strings, case (not a hard case though), 10W amp, and 2 small Allen Wrenches. The amp is cool to start off with but I definitely need to upgrade to a better amp. I personally wanted to add a bit of distortion to the guitar but I need a pedal if I want to do that, or get a better amp that has that feature in it. The sound that comes to my headphones that's plugged into the amp doesn't sound quite right. Overall I think this is a great thing to buy if you are a guitar player just starting out or want a great deal on everything. I gave it 4 stars mainly because of the Allen Wrenches, old strings, amp sounds a bit off, and I should have started with an acoustic guitar. Not because of the stereotype where people say, "You need to start with acoustic!" Not that, its because the songs I wanted to learn first probably sounds better on acoustic rather than electric guitar. But definitely restring your guitar soon, it makes a hell of a difference.

Highly recommend this!!!!
Bought for my daughter for Xmas. She said this was the best present ever. Itโs good quality and the pink is cute. It comes with free instructions for 4 months and she has learned a lot of those instructions. She tuned it herself. The extra things it comes with is awesome. The sound is good. The amp is really cool too. All in all itโs definitely a great beginner friendly guitar.

Amazing Value for Beginners! (5/5 Stars)
As someone just starting their guitar journey, finding the right instrument can be overwhelming. I did a lot of research and decided to take a chance on this Best Choice electric guitar for beginners, and I could not be happier with my decision! First off, the value for money is incredible. You get a surprisingly well-built guitar that looks great and feels solid, especially for its price point. It doesn't feel like a cheap toy; it feels like a legitimate instrument that you can grow with. It's incredibly easy to play right out of the box. The action (the height of the strings from the fretboard) was good, making it much easier for my beginner fingers to press down chords without buzzing or excessive strain. The neck feels comfortable in my hand, which is crucial when you're spending hours practicing. The sound quality is more than adequate for learning. Through my small practice amp, it produces a clear, versatile tone that works well for a variety of genres. It holds its tuning surprisingly well too, meaning less time spent tuning and more time spent playing. For any aspiring guitarist, having an instrument that encourages practice rather than frustrates it is key, and this guitar absolutely does that. It's not intimidating, it sounds good, and it feels comfortable. It's the perfect entry point into the world of electric guitar without breaking the bank. Highly, highly recommend for any beginner!

Nice looking and a good beginers kit, but damaged
I got this for my wifeโs birthday and it came as if used, it has damage in two spots. 1 yellow mark and one chip of the finish. Iโm trying to decide what to do about this.

Great Guitar!
This is a great guitar. Mitch's review is very good and accurate: 4.0 out of 5 stars Great for the price!, February 26, 2011 By Mitch - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Combo 39" Black Electric Guitar with 10 Watt Amp, Guitar Case & More Accessories First off, let me start by telling you that I am a seasoned guitarist. I have owned over a dozen guitars in my lifetime and, believe it or not, this one wasn't the worst I ever owned. The body looks and feels absolutely great; there were a few minor imperfections, but nothing you would notice without a judging eye and possibly a magnifying glass. While the action came a little high for my taste, I am planning on adjusting it to better fit my needs. Most new guitars come like this, and online videos can help you learn to properly adjust the action. All of the switches and knobs work very well. The strings are completely terrible. Do yourself a favor and buy a pack of new strings before you even bother tuning the ones that come with it. They will begin breaking within an hour of use and will feel like razor wire on your fingers. The machine haeds are pretty low quality, but they do the job. The pick that comes with the guitar is the worst pick I have seen in my lifetime; just throw it away and pick up a few of them while you are buying the new strings. The amp is AMAZING; it is very loud for how small it is and it sounds very crisp and bright. The chord, while short, is pretty nice. The gig bag is okay (it isn't padded, but I wasn't expecting it to be). The strap is a little scary (quality wise) but it hasn't broken on me yet. Overall, this product is ROCKIN! AMAZING QUALITY, especially for the price. BUY, BUY, BUY! I would have paid well over $150 for this baby in a store, and that's without all the extras that come with it. Great investment for anyone on a budget! Since this is my first guitar, I found his review very helpful. I ordered new strings and picks just like he said and I am glad I did! Thanks!

Not what I expected for this price!
The box was received damaged and cut already as the tape was wrapped around the broken part of the box. The tuner and volume buttons on the guitar were received broken and in pieces, the only thing that was left was the screw of it. Should have looked at the 1 star reviews first.

Great buy!
Awesome deal, great guitar! Shoulder strap that comes with it wont last very long at all. Might want to get another one right off the bat, amp has a loud hum when plugged in to guitar. I'm thinking that its just a cable issue, so cheap fix! Great beginner set up!

Good guitar for a youth just learning
Everything came as advertised. The amp is nothing great but for a beginner, it does the trick. Guitar seems well crafted. The connection on the guitar for the amp cord has a little play and sometimes gives some static. The only real complaint I have is that the buckle on the guitar strap broke after only a couple of weeks
