These are great and well made. I use them when weed eating. No more grass stained pant legsand the keep the junk out my shoes too!I could see where these would be useful in many situations where you are walking or hiking in rough terrainand brush. It only takes one sharp thing getting into your shoe to know you these would be useful.Easy to put on and comfortable to wear.

As an avid hiker I have had and used gaiters for many years but over time my old gaiters have deteriorated to the point of needing to be replaced so I ordered this pair of Waterproof Hiking Gaiters for use primarily when hiking on snow covered trails. The quality appears to be really good and a notable upgrade from my much older gaiters. The zipper works great and the extended zipper pull allows for operation even while wearing gloves. The under-the-boot strap is adequate and the over the calf tightener works okay but the opening at the top of the gaiters is oversized so the gaiters tend to slip down while in motion. I ordered a size large based on the product size chart and while the height is just right, the top opening is too big compared to what the size chart shows so order accordingly.

Very poorly made zipper is very small and difficult to use. Strap under boot is just garbage, I had to repair it after the first use.

This is my first experience with gaiters. I am out regularly volunteering with multiple crews working on trail maintenance. Winter doesn't stop us, as we're also out rain or snow. On the very wet days I wear my rain gear. However, when there's a good chance of it being a dry day, I'd like to wear something more comfortable, yet still stay as clean as possible from the mud and muck. After three trail parties, each on a day after the rain, I can say they are fulfilling that mission.I can't say how they would compare to other gaiters, but I'm satisfied with them so far. I do find that the zippers are difficult to get started and the hook to fasten on the boot laces doesn't stay hooked for me. Also, the under sole strap doesn't appear to be very durable, but so far is holding its own. That strap I haven't been undoing, I leave them buckled all the time and just step into them to put them on. In spite of the hook not retaining its grip, the gaiters still stay in place, even when they are beating against the brush.They certainly are keeping me cleaner and are a breeze to clean compared to my rain pants. They wash off easier with just a hose and also dry much faster, so they are ready for my next trail party.

I wouldn't recommend. Even if it had better zippers that worked, zipping down from the top would be a lot easier. Maybe Velcro would be even better. It was a loose fit and no elastic or straps to adjust for this. I just couldn't get the top pull string adjuster to tighten enough to hold them up. And I didn't skip too many leg days. Priced about half of others, but just might be worth the extra cost.

These gaiters are well made and have good seams, the zipper is a quality zipper, and it has a flap with snaps to help keep the zipper clean. and it comes with a nice storage bag. Works great to keep snow out of my boots while sledding with the kids. I also look forward to spring hiking with dry pantlegs.
