I've tried several of this kind since Apple removed my favorite functionality from their devices, which is the MagSafe magnetic plug. Some of them worked ok, but I could never find the one that reliably transferred the legitimate charing current of 4.3A. In that sense, this item was my last try to find a MagSafe replacement. Unfortunately, the first one that I received was defective, but the seller was quick enough to provide me a replacement. By now, I've used this cable for two weeks.The construction of cable is very sturdy. The braided cable looks nice, and the magnetic plug is strong enough to keep the cable in place. Mostly importantly, it transfers the proposed charging current of 4.3A without failures. I’ve checked the charger information of my Mac regularly, and there was no failure so far in transferring 86W to my Mac, which I find a rare success from the previous similar cables. This cable costs a few more bucks in comparison to its competitors, but I think it is worth if it can consistently transfer the promised current in a long run, although it may need a bit more of time to be fully confirmed.In sum, I am quite pleased with this cable so far. The customer service was pretty nice, and the cable has been reliably charging my Mac with the full 86W. I will update my review if the cable fails in the near future, but at this moment, it seems that this cable is a wonderful replacement for MagSafe, and I do not have any regrets with my purchase. Strongly recommended.

While it appears that the cable works well, the magnetic portion has too much play, which results in no power being supplied, even when it appears to be connected. Great idea, but execution is just a bit off.

I really like this cable. Removing the MagSafe was a bad decision by Apple. The cable itself is durable and flexible. It appears to maintain a solid connection to my MacBook. I wish it had a charging lol get indicator. I moved my laptop and disconnected the cable but wasn’t aware that I did so. It cannot be combined with any dongle as there is no power or data transfeR. If mag protection is what you need this will work. I’ve only been using it for 3 days but so far, so good.

Purchased in March and used for 5 months before it stopped charging. Also purchased one for my wife and hers is still working, so I was able to confirm the cable had failed, not the magnetic USB-C portion.Will be purchasing a different brand ...

Liked the material the cable is made of and the metal components seem to be good material but the product doesn't work as expected. Anytime I need to charge my MacBook Pro and I connect the magnetic end to the port it takes like 2 full minutes to read that it charges. Sometimes it takes longer than that--and sometimes it doesn't even charge at all. I have to sit there trying to disconnect it an and reconnect it, wait another 2+ minutes to see if it registers the connections and sometimes that didn't even work. Yesterday was the last straw and had to write this review to warn others of this issue that a lot of others seem to have also. I needed to use my laptop yesterday for work and noticed that it only had about 20% charge so I plugged it in to this magnetic charger... waited until I saw it registered the connection (2+ minutes and readjusting the connection and then waiting again). Finally, when I saw the laptop charging I decided to run some errands. come back 3 or 4 hours later and it was at 68% battery. I thought to myself, no way it's only at 68%... I thought, whatever, after I do work I will let it charge overnight. So, plugged it in last night... made sure there was a charge going to it... this morning I wake up and my laptop was at 48% AND NOT CHARGING! (nobody unplugged it in the middle of the night. it's just my gf and I that live here). I really wish the seller would replace with a working cable and magnetic connector and I would reconsider my review but until then, this doesn't deserve anything but 1 star since from day 1 it has worked less than half the time and never worked as expected. It's a shame really...

So been using it for nearly a week now and works well. Type C is taking over in a lot of products and now I don’t have to worry about having a cord. Also recently bought a Mac and I use it for charging with that. My dad had a Type C port phone and he uses my cord to charge his phone. We’ll soon be buying another cause I’m tired of him stealing mine. My favorite part of the product is that it has a braided cord so it will not give out easily. From the looks of it this will be durable for the long run. Also the magnetic tip is convenient and even serves as a bit of a dust plug but definitely makes charging easier.

This cable is excellent and seems to be from good quality. Of course time will tell, but for now it works as designed. The magnet is strong enough to prevent the cable from easily getting disengaged, but a pull disengages it and therefore provides security to my laptop. The 90-degree connector keeps the cable close and prevents over-bending.

This worked for a couple of days but unfortunately no longer provides any charge. The poor reliability has me concerned about using this brand of cable again.Update 4/3/2018:The manufacturer contacted me based on my review. They said they wanted to investigate the problems with my cable and shipped me a replacement prior to my Amazon return. I will update my review based on how reliably the new cable performs.Update 4/4/2018:Bad news: the replacement cable was dead on arrival. Using an Apple cable works perfectly, but neither of the two Power Trend cables work at all. I will be sending both back and getting a refund on the one I purchased. Conceptually this is a great product but the execution is unfortunately poor.
