AOMEKIE 10x50 Marine Binoculars, Waterproof Binoculars for Adults

I love these binoculars. I was bird-watching today. They are good value for the price. I tried lining up my camera with the lens but its nearly impossible. Its definitely a good deal. They are fairly heavy and appear to be very durable. The included strap helps out ALOT! The carrying case has 2 pockets. It came with batteries. Im not good with the range meter but the compass is helpful if you can remember 360 is North. I guess that should make sense.

For $99 these are a very good buy in my opinion. These are not my typical idea of a binocular because I have to adjust each eye piece to each eye rather than with the turn of a wheel in the center like every other one I own. However, Once adjusted the picture is big and clear. Yes, one can find fault with them, but if you don't like these the next best might cost you $1200. Friends of mine that do bird and whale watching have the $1200 variety. Yes, for $1200 the clarity is stunning. These $99 ones serve my needs very well for lots of things. I have yet to full test out the range finder. I hope to check the range finder against my $300 button quick range finder. However, again, I'm not laying on the ground in full bush camo with a painted face waiting for a jeep full of terrorists either. The compass on mine seems reasonably accurate, but it needs to be checked a bit more closely when I get time. It generally says where South is supposed to be. This is not the binoc I'd buy if lobbing in mortars. I can not complain. They work for me. The case is very nice as is the neck strap. What I don't like is having no place to put the eye piece cups. They don't attach to anything.

Nice binoculars Awful support after the delivery. I installed the (2) provided 1.5volt batteries and the compass illumination does not work. I tested the batteries and they are dead. Amazon sales support said they can’t provide the batteries. They can only replace the binoculars .

Great magnification!! Not too huge!!

I finally took these out of the case after two years to try them out. The vision is clear and I like the individually adjustable eye pieces. Some have complained that one of the lens covers isn’t attached to anything but I found there is a slot to run the strap through to solve that complaint. The range finder is easy to use and that helps when photographing wildlife. The image is bright and clear in low light. The compass feature is helpful but I haven’t tested it against a real compass so I can’t attest to the compass accuracy at this point. The covering seems durable and it has a nice feel to it offering a good grip so it doesn’t slip out of my hands. These binoculars are now melded into my photography backpack and are performing well. Overall, for the price, this is a great value.

I admit, I was upgrading from 10x50's I bought over twenty-five years ago so these were quite a leap forward. Setup was very simple out of the box. I was very impressed with the clarity of the view, very crisp at all distances. The range finder was simple to learn and is accurate (I tested it from multiple distances). I have only had these for a few days so I have not yet had the chance to see how they perform in real field conditions but these are sturdy and should hold up well. The only negative I can report is the caps for the eye cups are not attached and do not have a snug fit. They come off rather easily. Just need to be careful not to lose them. In all, I am very happy with the purchase.

Actual magnification is 7x. Check it... It's not a true 10x. That was the main reason I returned it. Oddly enough, the printing on the box shows 10x50 and 7x50 next to each other, but the binoculars itself are marked 10x50, as is the sticker on the box. It's really 7x. Other reasons for the return: the adjustments for the eye pieces are very smooth, which is great, but they move too easily. Putting the eye covers back on will definitely move your adjustments around, so you have to note where they are at and adjust it each time. Secondly, the range finder is pretty cool. If you're familiar with ranging with a milradian reticle, this will be familiar to you. Just note that each hash on the reticle is actually 10 mils. The problem though is the distance ring on the sliderule also adjusts somehow, probably due to weak glue they used, so when you're adjusting the sliderule ring, you can actually turn the distance ring too. Maybe I got a bad copy, but it's not good. It should actually be lined up so the distance marker is set at 500, meaning the indicator dot/arrow is lined up at 500 on the distance ring. Then when you adjust the sliderule, it will work just fine according to the instructions/formulas. I verified this with my ballistic calculator's distance calc. You'll have to line up the number of hash mark reticle to the top of the sliderule ring to the dot/arrow, then refer to to size of the object you're measuring (on the sliderule ring as well), and look directly below it on the distance ring for the corresponding distance. Again, if the distance ring isn't lined up at 500 for the dot/arrow, you'll be off. And again note that you're using the number on the reticle, so if it reads 5 on the reticle, line it up to the 5 on the sliderule (which will mean your object sizes at 5 on the reticle, or 50 mils). Again, it works fine, but I returned it as the distance ring isn't locked in good. If you look around on Amazon at the pictures here and on the other Chinese versions (Which this is also, prob all made in the same factor) of this binocular, they're all lined up at different, incorrect places. The compass seemed fine, when compared to my military compass, maybe off by 3 degrees, not a big deal. The optical quality did look clear, and seemed bright, which is no surprise given the 50 mm objective. In low light situation, it definitely was bright enough, and brighter than my 10x25 binoculars. The glass is sharp, which is also great. The problem in low light though is street lights and other light sources tend to show these streaks of light across the glass, which my 10x25 binoculars did not. Long story short, if you can maybe use some duct tape (just a small piece of it) to lock down the distance ring so it doesn't move, and understand this is really a 7x magnification, and just want to pay for the pretty decent glass, and don't mind checking your eye adjustments each time, this isn't a bad buy. I weighted it, it comes in for the binocular itself, at 2lbs.

These are great on the boat! The ergonomics are good including trying to push the compass illumination button which on others is out of fingure reach whill looking through. They feel very solid and the individual dioplar adjusters are great. The lenses are VERY clear and the useless range markings(like all on the market) are less obtrusive than others. The only negatives are the lens caps are janky. The large lens ones are secured but snap inside of all places and sometimes don't stal in place and the dioplar cover is one that covers bothe, losely, and unsecured. Those details mean you have to keep them stashed in the storage bag which in itself is too narrow and requires colapsing them as narrow as they go everytime and the inside pocket does not close which allows everything to evacuate onto the deck when ever you pull them out. BUT again, the binocculars themselves are excellent.

Binocolo da battaglia da lasciare in barca senza patemi. Dimensioni importanti, ma se si desiderano luminosità e pupille facili, bisogna accettare la stazza. Facile regolare i due oculari oscurando una lente per volta. Dopo la regolazione è facile e immediato da fruire. Lo porti agli occhi e vedi subito quello che cerchi. Risoluzione accettabile per la fascia di prodotto. Impermeabile e galleggiante; con la tracolla gialla si recupera facilmente anche in caso di caduta in mare. Acquistato per avvistare gli “sbuffi” dei cetacei al largo, si sta dimostrando perfetto. Il reticolo e la bussola fanno molto “marina” di altri tempi, ma sono utili e divertenti; non disturbano la visione di insieme. Le istruzioni del telemetro in italiano lasciano un po’ a desiderare, ma se ne viene fuori🙂

Cheaper...but is it worth taking the risk? I am a Mountain Rescue Search Dog handler and rely heavily on good binoculars. Having recently dropped a pair of expensive Nikon ones whilst on a call out I was not willing to spend out another £300 on a new set. At this point i thought I would take the plunge and go for a cheaper pair. These have had mixed reviews but I urge you to ignore the bad ones as they are mostly because people cant install the batteries or have issues with the magnification..neither of these are the fault of the product, more the purchasers expectation of magnification and ability to install batteries! Having used these last night on a call out I can say the quality is unbelievable for the cost. The optics and clarity once set up are just breathtaking. Would I recommend these , yes I would. The initial review is amazing. Okay, time will tell but from the off these are superb. Good luck...
