Fiebing'sLeather Balm with Atom Wax 32oz - wax top finish for leather

I love this leather topcoat, and it is way too expensive to buy in the 4 oz container. Buy this so you can use it liberally.I've now applied this to several dozen pieces, so I'll tell you all how I apply it. I use a wool dauber and smear a coat all over (and inside) of my project and let it dry. You want to apply it evenly, because it darkens your project. If you don't like that, which is important sometimes, I suggest using an acrylic top coat.One coat is enough, but 2 coats looks the best without getting your piece too dark. 3 or 4 coats looks incredible but I only suggest doing that to darker pieces. My only con is that unlike acrylic this coat is not super waterproof, and it will make your dye run a bit if you try to polish it before it is fully dry. Just buff the heck out of it once it is and it looks great. Holds up very good too, assuming you don't get your leather wet.

I wasn't expecting the sheen to be quite so glossy. I love gloss so it's not a bad thing, but if you want a matte finish then buy a small bottle of this to see if it works with you. It polishes up easily after use, too. Resolene is just gone once it wears. I'm not overjoyed with it, but there's nothing wrong at all. I'm glad to have it in my shop.

I do custom leather projects, this creates a beautiful finish. It is more liquid than expected but seems to soak into leather. Works great!

Still learning and experimenting, but I've reworked two of my three saddles, to date and it is simply incredible to experience the change! These are ranch saddles that have seen it all and lots of it, with many, many years of hard use, not abuse. Obviously, a good cleaning is required, I like Fiebing's Saddle Soap and water, yes it takes some elbow grease and a cocktail or three, but then to dry and apply this Leather Balm, then buff it out. Never seen anything like it, over the years and I might not have it figured out completely! Unbelievable, what a formula! Congratulations on another outstanding product. Fiebing's in your corner and you can't lose!

Goes on easily and looks great when dry.

Observation: Less viscous I was expecting - more like full-fat milk than creamy texture. Dries to a tacky dull film that requires elbow grease to buff out. Effort is required to bring the finish to the desired shine and smoothness. Perfect for layered, built-up, classic hard wax finishes.Used it on a well-worn but very supple chrome-tanned women's wallet and had to use an alarming amount of force to buff it out. Lesson learned: use this on stiffer, harder wearing leathers that you want to give a nice waxy sheen.

Works as expected. Gives a nice shiny gloss on the leather surface. Looks great, and I'm very pleased with the results.

Excelente deja un buen acabado en el cuero si lo pules un poco le puedes sacar un poco de brillo o dejarlo mate.

Das Zeuchs ist einfach super. Sehr zu empfehlen als Finish, da die Lederhaptik erhalten bleibt. Ist kein lackartiges Finish.

Ce produit donne un rendu brillant très joli. Petit bémole sur des teintures à l'alcool (Pro Dye par ex.), on a l'impression que la teinture est nettoyée, le chiffon ressort de la couleur de la teinture. Cela ne se produit pas avec les teintures à l'eau (Waterstain par ex.) le chiffon reste propre. Malgré tout c'est un produit assez étonnant.
