A don't-miss
This is one of the most practical and readable golf books ever written. Kathy Whitworth has won more tournaments than any other man or woman in golfing history, This book is filled with clear, simple, down-to-earth golf wisdom from a master of the game. Many chapters are just two or three pages. No chapter is very long. One caution, however. If you're looking for detailed advice on your golf swing, this is not your book. But if you're looking for advice on managing yourself, the course and your game, and scoring your best with the swing you have, this is the book for you. A world of golf wisdom condensed into a short book that will be read and re-read. If you want expert advice on playing the best golf you can play, don't miss it.

Worth the read
I don't remember Kathy Whitworth playing golf. However, I like some of the techniques that she used to get out of her own way. Each point is very concisely described. This isn't a technical manual IE swing plane, strike angle, shaft flex. Think about it more as a way to play golf.

She has 14 MORE wins than Tiger!
She is the best golfer ever male or female in terms of number of wins - 88. At this writing she has 14 more wins than Tiger! And Sam Snead's 82 - come on then - that makes this must reading. It is a short topic format making it great for when you have a minute or two to pay attention and then ponder what you read. Like in an airport etc. Must have for any serious golfer. It will adjust your brain properly - or not. Your choice but either way any serious golfer must expose themselves to this material.

a revealing and astounding font of knowledge
I have played golf for 50 years and as a professional for 40 of those, kathy has explained the true feelings that all golfer's must deal with, as they progress to a better game, but more importantly her honest and forthright wisdom is,probably, a golfer's greatest weapon to improving both their golf and their self belief.

All how to play the game and no beef
I was anxious to receive the book and was really disappointed when it came in. All it was about is how to play the game, mindset, etc.

The game doesn't really change
I don't know why I selected this book as I had little knowledge of Kathy Whitworth, but I really enjoyed this book. It proves that the golfers of past eras can teach us a thing or two today. Very easy to read, with wonderful humour and great memories of her golfing days, not to mention some great view points and tips on playing and enjoying the game of golf. A bargain for the price.
