He's Not My Type: Vancouver Agitators Series, Book 4

My new favourite of the series!! Obsessed
Every single thing about this book was perfect, it’s totally stolen my heart and is by far my favourite of the series but also of all of Meghan’s works, which is insane considering how much I love Silas & Ollie. I’m just in awe of how beautiful and moving Halsey and Blakely’s story is, as well as being insanely funny and sexy. The chemistry after like 50% oh my god, I could not stop smiling and kicking my feet just giggling for these two!! The wedding, the dress shopping and the conversation with the landlord oh my god it was like a different side of Halsey finally came out and it was everything. I loved that he just grew in confidence and security around Blakely, and following his own instincts really was the way to go!! This man is everything you could have ever wanted and he doesn’t even see it. And the communication towards the end ahhh, yes let it all out and it went so well after they both pushed past their fears and put all their cards on the table. The spice in this is some of the best I’ve ever read, it was so hot and so sexy and the consent and respect between them was everything! The way these two can read each other was a dream, like there are not two people better suited or well matched. The last 30% really broke me, my heart was hurting for Halsey and everything he has been suffering with for all this time. His mother is for real pure evil and I hate her even though she’s not real. But the part with his brother was so emotional even though it was so short! I was very happy with that little part for closure. This friendship group is so special to me, the guys are all so dreamy and incredibly - both as friends/brothers and as lovers, the banter is so so good and I couldn’t get enough of the way respect and appreciation for women just underlies all of their words and actions. We need more men like them omg. Definitely excited for Posey’s book and maybe even OC! I’ve loved this series so so much and I’m not ready for it to be over!!

Racy story
A good story following the love tribulations of the next ice hockey player in the team to hook up. It dealt poignantly with bereavement. I liked the way the team players looked out for each other. I like the intimacy of this writer's storylines but this got a bit too much for me so I docked a star from her usual 5* rating.

Laughed and teared up
This was a brilliant book to read, great characters with banter and depth. The funniest parts involved the group chats and Halsey trying to execute them. I did cry when Halsey deals with family and the kids of his twin, which is mentioned in previous books. Again the cross over to other characters from the other series (Huxley Caine) are genius. Can't wait to read Posey 's book next, but also want to learn more about OC... Will OC have a book?

Sweet, steamy, funny and emotional
4.5 starsThis book has me hooked from the beginning, the group chat text messages between the guys was hilarious and it's the first book in a long time that has had me laughing out loud. The guys just had an amazing bond and it was so funny and heartwarming to see how much they cared about each other. So this story has an element of fake relationship, but is more forced proximity. Halsey has lusted after Blakely since he first saw her but she had a boyfriend so he watched from the sidelines. Until she splits up and then the guys all try and help him, and 'try' being the word.Halsey was so sweet, but just wasn't the guy Blakely thought she wanted. However, when he went rogue and ignored the guys advice, she saw the other side to him and it changed everything. This book wasn't just sweet and super steamy, towards the end I was in floods of tears, it really delved into the background of Halsey and how his brothers' death has affected him, his team and his relationships.I really enjoyed reading this story and love that Sherman and Shirley got their HEA!

Funny
This book was a fun read, I laughed a lot!The group chat was hilarious. Haven’t read the whole series but it didn’t affect this too much. The audiobook is full cast and definitely worth it. Connor Crais really did well with the MMC role as did the rest of the cast. The MMC is 🔥, it really is the quiet ones 😁The FMC is also really cool but I really disliked how she referenced her ex every 5 minutes. The book has a nice straightforward plot line. The ending felt a little dragged out. Story could have ended at about 70%. Beyond that it felt like we were just pushing it.Recommended if you like a funny hockey romance and a quiet MMC with a filthy mouth⭐️⭐️⭐️.5🌶️🌶️🌶️

5 stars
If I could give this book more stars, I would. I can’t remember the last time I highlighted a book like this. Halsey was a tortured soul after the loss of his twin and went into himself. He’s hockey player friends set up a situation for his crush to live with him and in walks Blakely with her fun & caring personality. This book had me literally laughing out loud with the text friends and crying at the end of the book. Honestly brilliant!

Another good read from this author
Blakely needs somewhere to live after her boyfriend decided he wanted to move to Australia and he expected her to go with him. She didnt. Friends rallied round and Halsey one of the ice hockey team offered her his spare room. Blakely had no idea the crush he had had on her since first meeting her. It was lovely how nervous he was and fun to read how his friends tried to make his place a little more homely. He was always at a loss when she was near him but when her ex came all the way back for a wedding wanting her back Halsey showed his worth. Some of the dialogue is funny, some goes a bit too silly but overall is a great fun read. The author certainly likes a lot of sex scenes!

Toe curling good ✨
Honestly the best I’ve read in a while. Has a bit of everything in a good dosage.Halsey brings the spiciness to another level 🥵🥵🥵 And don’t get me started with the maturity of handling feelings. He is a MAN.Certainly added to my list of book boyfriends.

My heart!
I should probably sit on this review for a beat, considering I just finished this book, but ahh! It was so good. I really couldn’t put it down. Halsey is such a gentle man and honestly, his journey out of his shell was so beautiful, it gave me all the feels. I love that he was so caring and thoughtful. I loved his and Blakely’s journey. The steam in this book was also real! And the man banter- hilarious, I’ve read a lot of sports romance and the back and forth of this group of guys had me laughing out loud at points. Just a really great read!!
