More than just a coloring book
"Shine Bright" isn't just about coloring; it's a journey that encourages children to embrace their individual superpowers, With interactive and reflective exercises, it goes beyond visual appeal, offering intellectual stimulation. I strongly recommend this book for any child.

A great way to creatively learn powerfully positive outlooks
The best way to learn anything is to physically engage in repetitive, fun activities. Here, affirming beliefs about oneself are engrained by repeatedly creating wonderful, colorful images. This is a great coloring book for anyone, but particularly young African-heritage boys. The affirmations are empowering and inspirational, particularly for being kind, curious, and loving. As a creative exercise with value far beyond its purchase price, this book is highly recommended!

Great for kids.
The presentation of this book is great. The author is kind enough to offer readers freebies, and there is plenty of content to color in. I like how the writer made sections for kids to think about what makes them feel happy, and to jot it down. I recommend this book for children.

Teeters between affirmation and self-aggrandizement
The book starts with free thank yous such as screen-free activities, recipes, another screen-free package, and an additional 50+ coloring pages. Cool. This book and series are purportedly written by an 8-year-old. The book appears to be crafted mostly from AI (as there are multiple kids with 4 or 6 fingers - good for the “I am unique” affirmation?)There are affirmations that track with the purpose of affirmations, which is great. “I am loved”, “I am responsible”, etc., implying family. The gratitude affirmations are spot on. Brava. Then, there are those which do not fulfill the purpose of an affirmation. These affirmations are used as a celestial butler, which is not healthful for kids. “I am a king” as an affirmation. Well, that one will most likely bomb and could cause behavioral problems. Odd. I would not want my boys reciting “I am a King”.I like the goal-driven pages, e.g., “Invent something” and the science and engineering tasks.
