I ordered this to replace the jewelry box my daughter took with her to college. I wish we had found earlier, because this is the one she should have taken with her. It’s perfect for a kid in the dorm because it’s so easy to assemble/disassemble and pack up at store between school years and is light. It’s also made of metal so it’s durable when boxing it up compared to something plastic.As for functionality: this item can hold a lot, especially given its small footprint, but that might not be easy to tell in these photos because she already took a bunch of jewelry back to school with her. It has 36 holes, which allows for 18 pairs of earrings, and the two bars can also hold a good number of necklaces or bracelets (or big hoops). The tray is also functional in that it not only catches anything that might fall, but also provides ample space to hold additional items like rings and watches (even perfume samples).The set-up was simple and quick. The screws, washers, and wrench were all provided. Also included was a set of clear directions but I didn’t need them since it only requires screws for the rods.The white and gold coordinate beautifully with the gold accents in her room and I find it a nice addition to space. Overall, we are both very really pleased with this item and can’t think of any improvements I’d like to see.

It shows this being shiny gold, it is not. It's like a flat beige brown. Don't buy if you are expecting gold color like it says.
