BotaniGard MAXX 32oz. Quart Insect Control Mycoinsecticide

Used on coffee farm operations for a heavy CBB infestation. FYI, the MAXX formulation of Beauveria contains pyrethrins - which may harm beneficial insects. There are non-pyrethrin variants for applications where this is a concern. We found it reduced Coffee Borer Beetle (CBB) levels from 35% infestation (disastrous) to 8% (tolerable) over the course of a 4-week program of weekly applications. We also found white fly larvae went to 0% after this program (normally it has about a 15% incidence). Beauveria is a live bacillus, is very expensive, has a short life-span and must be kept at temperatures below 85f. Consequently, you need to know expiration at the time of ordering and ideally place orders at multiple vendors to obtain a diversified spray (we mix from several vendors) that could overcome any shipping/vender mistreatment. Note that this product is best shipped in spring, or fall given potential exposure to elements.

I am disappointed that I purchased a product I won't be able to use before its expiration date, which is three weeks from when I acquired it.

I treated my room every two days for two weeks, and the bed bugs are gone. This stuff works really well.

I have a small coffee farm in Kona Hawaii. Coffee borer beetles can devastate your crop, so something needs to be done. The normal way around here is bottles of only the mold, thrown by an air sprayer. I pay someone to do my trees because the cost of the chemicals and the spraying equipment is pretty steep. Now that I have tried this product myself, I am sold on it. This can be mixed with water into a regular sprayer. Having both pyrethrine and the mold is sort of two treatments in one. It costs me less than the bottles of mold only, and I can spray it myself.

There are so many better options for pesticide out there that actually kill them and their eggs then this. It didn’t do much to kill off my growing infestation of spider mites and I had to wear a full tyvek suit with a gas mask!

Product was almost a year past the expiration date! Update they sent me another one with the same expiration as the first expired product!
