The Expert at the Card Table (Hey Presto Magic Book): Artifice, Ruse and Subterfuge at the Card Table

I already own a couple of editions this book, but thought I'd give this version a try as an inexpensive version for a gift. Actually it is pretty good. Nice cover, pocket book sized and well printed illustrations and text. Obviously the book is not for everyone, and can be a bit difficult to read, but if you are interested in magic and willing to work through it, it is considered a classic for a reason. Overall, recommended!

Excellent quality and the contents is amazing. Absolutely fascinating and informative!

A good version of the classic book.

Only the really dedicated will get the best out of this book. I say that because the written descriptions of techniques far outweigh the images; and those images are just drawings rather than copies of real photo images; and they aren't as clear in intention as they might be.

No one needs to write a review of this book it's a classic that became the place to start for anyone wanting to understand how to manipulate cards

Trae algunas palabras en Inglés que se usaban en la antiguedad de las cuales tal ves no se sepa el significado fácilmente, más sin embargo es un libro repleto de información del cúal incluso algunos movimientos no los encontrarás en otro libro o en los ahora tutoriales de YouTube.Lo recomiendo para todos, tanto aquellos que están comenzando en el arte como aquellos que ya saben y pueden perfeccionar bastantes cosas con este.

An amazing book. I was giving it as a gift. The initial delivery got lost but amazon quickly responded and saved the day! I have to admit, at present amazon prime is a great investment. The customer service alone is qorth the price. Any other sender would have been 3 weeks of paper work and dialogue. I gave the gift and the person was really happy. Good book...great service.

The bible of card magic and gamblers con. It's an old classic those like Dai Vernon said should be on any card mechanics shelf and read until memorized. It's a short book, but packed with anything a magician needs to know about card handling. Many books which followed merely borrowed and built on this book. The information in this book is the core of all card magic and gambling slights.If you don't have it, get it!
