Scratch & Sketch Extreme (Trace Along) Hardcover – January 6, 2018

My kids LOVE these books! They are a great alternative to having to bring coloring g books and markers everywhere. They are great for car rides, restaurants or just a quiet activity.

These books are amazing. I buy them whenever they go on sale. I have at least two copies of all the “extreme” series, if not more. They are the only ones I have found, that come with a great tool and not a useless wooden stick. I have given many as gifts and everyone has loved them. They scratch well and every page has a nice glitter glitter page under the black paint with an equal number of the silver, gold or multicolored pages. Some are even green. There is also a nice range of difficulty levels. I use a very fine sand paper to lightly sharpen the tool when it starts to get dull so there is no need to buy extra tools. There is nothing negative that I can say about these books. If you are on the fence about the Scratch & Sketch Extreme, just buy it, it’s a great way to decompress.

I only knocked a star because the stylus that comes with it is too wide for some of the lines. I have others that did the trick so it’s all good but they are NOT exaggerating when they titled it “extreme “. You should probably have a lot of patience if you’re getting this one! Good quality, I will definitely get my money’s worth out of this.

I love this one so much that I bought it twice. Don't get me wrong, I like the other scratch and sketch books from this manufacturer but this one is by far my favorite. The other books are geared more towards kids where this one is definitely more for older children and adults. They also just put out another "extreme" scratch and sketch book that I can't wait to get my hands on but that's another review. The pages seem to have a thicker coating that can be a bit more difficult to scratch but I keep a variety of scratchers and sharpen them with an emory board. I actually like the thicker coating because I can slide it into my bag and be reasonably sure that it won't get damaged unlike others that have a very flimsy binding with tissue paper between the pages. In short, if you are an adult looking for hours of relaxation on the go, look no further. If you are buying for a teenager, go for it. If you are looking to keep young kids peacefully occupied, pick one of the other excellent books in this series but not this one.

This book is fun to do. The pictures come out looking so cool!

my daughter was very happy with this. i was happy they didnt scratch during transport or while she carries it around in her bag
