Q: Does this dry clear, and, will it burn my eyes if it gets in them?

I was disappointed in this product. Here's the review I left on Amazon on 4/29/18. It whitened my skin and left a waxy look. I really liked Coppertone Oil Free Faces (SPF 50), which I have used for years because it dried clear, and it did not whiten my face at all and left no waxy look. Apparently Coppertone Defend & Care Face replaces Coppertone Oil Free Faces, so I tried it. It went on white, but when it dried, it left my skin a shade whiter and lef ta waxy look. The new product claims to be "water resistant," which the old product did not claim, and I suspect the waxiness is a side effect of making the product water resistant. I wear sunscreen on my face every day, not for swimming. For me, Coppertone Defend & Care Face is no better than most other sunscreens, so I now must find another satisfactory face sunscreen. Another reviewer a couple of days earlier had a similar experience.

Q: Is it color or transparent?

It comes out of the tube white, but it dries clear on my light/medium complexion.

Q: Can I wear this under makeup or will it mess up the make up?

It wears well under makeup for me. Just let it fully dry first so it's not tacky when you're trying to put makeup over it, which could result in an uneven application. It's not silicon-ish like many primers are. If you'd prefer that sort of texture for under makeup, you may prefer the Olay Regenerist Regenerating Face LotionWith Broad Spectrum SPF 50, 1.7 FL oz. That one has a lot of dimethicone in it and makes a great makeup primer as a result.
