Works well with my Chromecast with Google TV device... Use to use

I ordered them to could switch my Chromecast devices from WiFi to wired Ethernet. Super easy to install - no need for instructions. Simply move the USB-C that was formerly plugged into the Chromecast into this device, plug in the Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 connection, and then plug this device's USB-C into the Chromecast. In the Chromecast settings, I disabled WiFi and the wired network immediately became active, without touching any other settings. (Although I'm not sure if it would favored the wired connection anyway - I may not have really needed to do anything in the settings.) Sidebar: The Amazon review page offered a rating for "WiFi Signal" - but this device doesn't have anything to do with WiFi - it's only to add wired Ethernet.

My parents had been complaining about the terrible performance of the Chromecast I installed to replace the cable box they finally had to give up because of budgetary reasons. About how the streams stutter and stop constantly. My dad immediately blamed our service provider, but I knew better. I was going to order a more powerful device, when I saw this was an option. It was only 13 bucks, so sure, I could try it, it wouldn't hurt. Wired it directly into the network I'd set up for my game consoles using the slot on the ethernet switch formerly occupied by the cable box. Took a little doing, I needed a longer ethernet cable than the cable box was using since it needed to reach all the way up to the Chromecast (heads up) but the difference was night and day, no stuttering, full HD video, all problems solved, like that. Saved me probably at least a hundred bucks.

Stopped working at less than 4 weeks of usage. UPDATE.: instructions provided are not great and do not give any troubleshooting instructions. But, I was able to figure out how to reboot the device and it is working again. So maybe try that if yours stops working.

Worked for me with ONN 4K+.

This was a breeze to install, and appears to do just what it says: Provide an Ethernet connection for the Chromecast dongle. Its operation is transparent.

So the sole reason I purchased this product was because I was looking for a hardwired solution for my CCwGTV. While it does work, it's not without it's share of quirks. If you happen to restart your CCwGTV, it will not actually reconnect over Ethernet if that makes sense. Your CCwGTV will say it's connected over Ethernet upon coming up after the restart, but won't actually be connected. You can confirm it's not connected by trying to use any video apps like Prime Video. You will see it fails to connect. Eventually, you'll get a notice on your dashboard that it's not connected to Internet. The way to fix this is to actually disconnect power from your CCwGTV and plug it back in. It's incredibly annoying to have to do that every time you have to restart, but it does work once you do it. Given the pretty annoying way to use this device, I can only recommend this device if users are willing to deal with those nuances

Finally was able to connect my GCWGTV via ethernet connection. Hours of troubleshooting because it would not override the wifi connection. Why you ask? Because there are no instructions with the unit to tell you to reboot it once cable has been connected. Normally an Ethernet connection will override the wifi connection but not this unit. When I rebooted the adapter (not the just the Chromecast)... BINGO! Works fine now. Hope this saves someone hours of head scratching.

Like so many others have reported the Chromecast WiFi connection issue was starting to make using streaming services impossible. This device was the answer. Connected the wired ethernet and Chromecast power suppply to the adaptor, connected the adaptor to the Chromecast. It worked instantly. What a difference - fast menu selection, excellent picture with no delays, reliable, haven't had a drop out since. Simple and it works.
