Born to Love: Transactional Analysis in the Church Hardcover – January 1, 1973

This is one of the few that bridges the gap between the essentially humanistic approach of Tranactional Analysis (TA) on one hand, and the Christian life on the other. It also has the great benefit of being an easy read, taking readers through the key components of TA by means of well observed vignettes about the various people in the community of a fictitious church, followed by commentary that helps to put everything into place. Anyone who is used to the ups and downs of church life will find it easy to identify with the situations presented, and the TA angle provides deep insights into what is going on and how things could improve for everyone's benefit. The only thing that stops me giving it the full five stars is that it is now a little dated, and could do with being reissued in a revised edition.
