This is a great long-wearing stain. I like to wear a lip balm during the day but also want color, and this solves my problem. I got "62 blushed mauve" and it lasts through breakfast, lunch and a work day. It goes on like a marker and I blend just a bit before it dries. This shade is a youthful, natural lip color and isn't severe looking. Once it dries in place, it does NOT make your lips dry. You actually forget it is there. I apply a gloss or balm throughout the day like I always do and it feels nice. The color might fade a little as the day goes on, but nothing spotty or crackle-y. Lips remain smooth looking. I'm reordering!

These lipstains by covergirl are far superior to alot of affordable brands and even higher end brands. Once dried, they don't move! I now have these in 4 shades and love them all. I prefer a dark color on me and sometimes the darker the color, the more patchy n weird it can get but not these. This pic is shade Spiders Web. It gives a deep, cool toned purple with a blue/black base to it. Perfect color for me, i absolutely love it! I lined my lips, pressed them tgthr to blend the line a little and let it dry. Then i applied a clear gloss over it and rubbed it all around to kind of blend it all tgthr a bit more. Thats it. Perfect cool toned, dark, purple/plum/berry lip color that lasts all day! I wanted to show my results but PLS don't mind the face tape lol. I didn't feel like removing it for the pic (sorry)... I just wanted to quickly show the color. I highly recommend these lip stains to anyone looking for affordable stains that last all day!! Too much oil in a gloss/lip oil will break down the formula so keep that in mind. I prefer a thicker gloss or balm that will stick to the lip and stay longer. The more you reapply gloss over the stain, the more you can break down the formula too. I carry the pen with me to work so I can reapply the stain if need be. Covergirl Outlast will last thru eating, drinking, kissing, talking, wind, rain, sleet ,hail, etc etc. Great product! I've also included a Pic of me at work with a full face of makeup and this lip combo (CG stain in Spider Web topped with Sheglam gloss in Freesia) pls don't mind the beautiful uniform and hairnet lol. This combo lasts me ALL DAY

Review is for Color: 20 Admire Lip stains are my favorite lip product these days, but I am particular about them. I don’t like the types that use a wand and then we dip it into liquid. Since Covergirl Outlast Lipstain is like a marker, I was excited for it. I like using this as my lip liner since it goes well with PH lipsticks by Magic Kiss and MoodMatcher. I don’t see myself using the CG lipstain alone since it’s semi drying and can be patchy. I only have one color so I don’t know if every shade is patchy. To be clear, the lipstain doesn’t cause my lips to be dry. It’s just not moisturizing the lips. Depending on the baseline of your natural lips the experience will be different for everyone. I think CG lipstains are best used with a gloss, topper, or another lipstick to fill in my lips. I apply the lipstain on dry, clean lips. I allow it to fully dry before applying something over it. It's a matte finish. However, nothing is transferproof on my lips including this product since I snack/eat often throughout the day. Transfer is minimal and it doesn’t get messy compared to traditional lipstick. It’s probably long lasting and smudge-proof if you fast. Pigmentation was good. Better than r.e.m. beauty’s lip stain marker. It has a light fruity smell. Almost cotton candy at times. Non-offensive. Not overpowering. I did not notice any bitter taste in my mouth. Made in the USA with imported parts. I really have no complaints about this product besides the color is wrong for me. I chose Admire (20) because I thought it was a lightish pinky mauve. Instead, it’s a dark mauve color like 90’s grunge. A plum shade. Keep in mind I am light-skinned with yellow undertone. It would look different on a deeper skin tone. The swatches/doodling I did on my hand looks lighter than on my lips. It was quite difficult to capture the color accurately in my photos. Hopefully my review is still helpful. I want to order more colors so I’ll update my review in the future. Would I recommend this lippie? It’s definitely not for everyone. It really depends on what you want out of it or expect from it. I have buck teeth and traditional (waxy/creamy) lipsticks always get stuck on my teeth so I find lipstains/PH lipsticks work the best for my type of mouth. My options are kind of limited.

It works well at first. a nice color, i got 65 natural blush, it tickles a bit upon application. It’s like a magic marker on your lips. It’s pretty opaque but a bit translucent still. It dries down and is not hydrating at all, but with a gloss over its nice. I’ve been using the product now for about 2 weeks and the fuzzy edge of the applicator has dried. Not amazing considering you buy something like this to act as lip liner. It also is not super long lasting. It’s not a stain. It’s more of an idea of a stain

This is amazing. I love the brush tip. The color payoff is superb. Last for hours. Perfect as a lip liner for full lip coverage. Great price point. Non sticky, quick dry. A solid lip stain for your makeup routine.

This lip liner applies smoothly, blends easily, and stays in place for hours without feathering. The color is beautiful and pairs well with many lipsticks and glosses. It’s an affordable product that performs just as well as many higher-end lip liners.

I bought CoverGirl Outlast in Sugery Girl expecting a lip liner. What I got was a multitasking overachiever that apparently didn’t read the job description. It works beautifully as a lip liner, but it also doubles as a full lip stain that hangs around longer than some houseguests. I can fill in my entire lips, top it with lipstick or gloss, and not spend the day wondering where my color disappeared to. The shade is flattering and versatile, and the formula stays put without requiring a mid-day rescue mission. Coffee? Fine. Lunch? Fine. Random snacking? Also fine. At this point, Sugery Girl is doing the work of three products while taking up the space of one. If only the rest of my makeup bag had this kind of work ethic.

I love this color. I bought admire. It lasts allday. But im mad because it came dried out. It didnt go on smoothly like the other color I bought. I purchased a different color and it worked fine. Its non sticky and you need to rub very hard to get it off. Just this color. Im going to see if I can exchange it. The color is very pretty though. A little dark, but more natural looking.

Bought this for my purple and black witch costume and it was great. Definitely a lipstain feel, not a lipstick feel, which is exactly what I was looking for. It lasted through my daughter's halloween dance and didn't smudge. Would buy again.
