Good product
I love this. I bought this to learn how to bake more and it's so useful. It even has conversion tables and dietary requirements in the back of the book which was a pleasant surprise. Good product.

Intro to baking
This is a quite interesting book. On the one hand, it contains a variety of interesting recipes, from very basic to quite complicated. This makes it a good book for bakers at any level that have an interest in Pokemon. On the other hand, the recipes don't bear a huge amount of actual connection to Pokemon. They are much more like regular recipes which have been adapted a little in terms of icing them to look like Pokemon.Taking a step back, it would be quite difficult to bake goods based on a fictional video game world in which baking was not really the main focus. So it's hardly surprising that these recipes are not completely authentic to the game. I would probably recommend this, mostly for someone who you would like to inspire to bike, who already has an interest in Pokemon, as it's a good way to get them engaged in the subject by leveraging their existing interests. The book itself is quite comprehensive and includes lots of recipes, all of which have very detailed instructions and clear, bright and colourful pictures. With that said, where pictures are included, they usually only show the finished product and none of the actual steps to prepare it. For that reason, it may be difficult for a real novice baker to pick this book up and start cooking. All things considered, I would recommend this mostly for a parent who is already an established baker that would like to get their child into baking, and can help them along the way.

Be aware of the limitations but don't forget about the advantages over a regular cookbook either
In a nutshell:Things I liked:+ Loads of different Pokemon are represented in a range of different recipes!+ Some bakes are very recognisable and not too tricky!+ A very decent range of baking recipes for the price (about £17).+ Great for baking together - as a family, it's sometimes hard to get children motivated to join in with things like baking. This book helps break down a big barrier to that - even if the recipes aren't entirely what you would want, the fact that they are Pokemon goes a long way towards getting your child to give it a go when they mightn't otherwise.Things I didn't like:- Some bakes are only tenuously linked to the Pokemon they are intended to represent or involve essentially drawing a Pokemon in icing or similar.Do I recommend it?Yes, absolutely. Getting your child to bake with you is a real advantage over a traditional cookbook and if you can forgive the fact that some of the bakes are tricky and others have very little to do with Pokemon, this might be an excellent tool to get started with family bakes!

Easy to follow recipes
This book is great for getting children interested in baking. The recipes are all simple in terms of ingredients needed and time, although some trickier than others, and have a Pokémon theme. The book itself is well made, the pages are thick and high quality, not likely to rip easily. The images are all vibrant and high quality prints showcasing the recipes once baked. It's also great that it is in simple to follow measurements for the UK rather than the US system with cups etc.The bakes themselves are nicely varied, primarily sweet although there are also some savoury bakes. It's cool that they are all linked to a specific Pokémon and categorised by Pokémon regions.Overall, this is a quirky take on a cook book that will help children get more of an interest in baking. There are plenty of recipes to choose from and a lot of variety. I'd recommend it.

I love this but have one problem!
I adore Pokémon, I love the games, the anime, the books, the plushes - you name it I like it. I have a lot of Pokémon craft books too so when I saw this is thought I must have it.I absolutely love that the book is split into regions and even has a section for Paldea (Scarlet and Violet) as that is still relatively new. Some of the recipes are a bit "how can we make this baked item look like a Pokémon face" but that's whimsical and fun and I love that cheesy element of it.Big shout out to the Bidoof tart that looks incredible and I will be making that!!Instructions all very clear and there's a glossary of terms like any decent recipe book. I love the layout and the pictures everything is great and very worth the price tag of £20 especially as its a hardback. My one issue is - there's not a picture for every recipe!Despite there being ample room (sometimes they will have a large image of the Pokémon the recipe is inspired by in lieu of a finished item image) there are maybe 40% of the recipes without a picture - which is really something you need! I could forgive this in a normal recipe book where maybe everyone knows what something looks like but this is supposed to be a guide on making baked goods look like a Pokémon - so why wouldn't I need a picture? bizarre.
