I've had type 2 diabetes for eight years now and still never fully understood what it was, why I had it, and what beneficial things I could do to help control my glucose until I read this book. As my diabetes has worsened, I need more medications and insulin shots to control my blood sugars, and I'm still having damage to my organs; I have been searching to understand better what is going on in my body and what I can do besides take pills and shots, to control it. Finally, a book about glucose that I can understand!
I appreciate that this book was written for the common person to understand what Glucose is and the role it plays in the body. I’ve been trying to convince my father to take his diabetes diagnosis seriously and this book has better equipped me with information to share with him. Literally every issue he has, such as fatigue and weight loss were mentioned along with practical tips for maintaining healthy glucose levels. Some of the common misconceptions I had about food and proper dieting when struggling with diabetes, that I did not even realize I carried were cleared up after reading.

Very comprehensive Guide
I loved the cover of this book, really stood out and when I read the blurb could see it would be something I could certainly learn from. As a maturing lady these are topics I really like to read and pay attention to. A very comprehensive well written book covering lots about starting, maintaining or developing further ones own health route. So much connected to each other, it is so interesting and makes perfect sense when you get into it. Wasnt sure if Glucose was for me but now I understand how good having the right levels are.
