Reading other reviews, was a bit worried about receiving broken globes. Ordered two and they arrived with all globes in good condition. But, I can see how easy the Globes could break. It's a manufacturer issue and how they are packaged in the Westinghouse light box. They're not wrapped or insulated at all. We were lucky. Amazon added sufficient wrapping around the manufacturer boxes inside the Amazon box, thank goodness.As far as the actual light, on one fan, it fit perfect. The second fan, a tiny fan of unknown origin, we needed to swap in a longer center bolt (easy to find at hardware store). Very happy with this purchase.

Harbor Breeze, replaced a single candelabra base in cheap housing. Installed this fan light kit using Universal fit. Had to cut fan white wire/strip to use, wire nuts worked well: blue to black, white to white. No center hex nut connection. Fan base has 3 holes could only use 1 with nipple. Doesn't seem secure installation hanging by 1 screw and a nipple, but it's in there and it's working, just don't pull down on the light. Ran it for days seems secure enough I guess. Brighter than original light, better quality too.

It's a nice price for something that could fit my old ceiling fan. Since it is designed to adapt to several different models, there are 3 methods. There are no text instructions, just diagrams. You have to figure out which of the diagrams you should use for your ceiling fan. It went pretty easy. I cut the wires shorter so that there would be less to stuff into the base of the fan. I needed 2 screws to attach the lamp fixture to the fan base, and 9 screws to fasten in the light globes. The package provided 9 screws so I had to buy 2. These "fixture" screws are supposed to be 8-32 thread, but are never well made, so the supplied screws worked fine but the ones I had to buy had to be forced in to the threads. The inclusion of 3 LED bulbs makes the fixture price attractive. The lights are rather more yellow than white, so I hope you like that. I will live with it.

This was much less expensive than the Casablanca light (approx $110 - $125). The white color is not as whit as my ligh, but my wife says, "I am the only one who will ever notice. It was fairly easy to install. One of the glass lamps has a few bubbles in it and a tiny chip on the edge. Product came with the Glass lamps and LED bulbs. I would give it 4.5 stars, but since I have to pick between 4 and 5 I rounded up.Update: I liked this product so much that I went to buy two additional ones, but the cost went from $37.44 to $41.81 in 2 days. That's +11.6% in 2 days......come on!

I got this to replace a light kit that had been installed on the ceiling fan ~10 years before. The hardest part turned out to be getting the old light kit off (eventually took it off in pieces). Installing the new light kit was relatively easy. Directions were clear, not too many steps. The hardest part for me was getting the little screws in place. I think using a magnetic screwdriver might have helped (I dropped screws 3 or 4 times in the process). But once in place, it works and looks great! Oh, one other note: I didn't care for the glass shades that came with the light kit, so I used some other ones. Just a personal preference thing, there was nothing wrong with the provided shades. Also, the package included 3 LED light bulbs, which look great and will last much longer than the non-LED bulbs that were there before. Including the bulbs was one reason I gave 5 stars for "value for money". I'm planning on buying at least one more of these light kits, maybe two, for other ceiling fans in the house.

This light kit is exactly as advertised. It's designed to fit a wide variety of fans through one of three type of installations. It can be mounted using side screws, the bolt through the cover plate, or with key holes. I had no problem using the center bolt installation (they refer to this method as the universal installation) on whatever generic fan was installed in my house. It's a little on the flimsy side since the metal is thin, but it won't break easily.Took less than a half hour to install. I'm not a huge fan of the included light shades, but they're okay as generic light shades go. I ordered some more stylish replacements for them to match the rest of my house.

Glass item Shipped in original package. Box was crushed and bottom of box was wide open. Brought it in the house, broken glass fell on the floor. Positive side easy to return and reorder.

Ok quality product however it was damaged when it arrived. Very inconvenient. They simply deliver in the original box rather than putting it in another stronger box for shipping. Waste of time!
