Mann OEM Cabin Microfilter
These are the original filters supplied to BMW by Mann at a fraction of the price you'll pay at the dealership or many other online auto parts suppliers. You will need to buy two filters and install them facing the correct direction based on air flow into the dashboard. Installation takes about 10 minutes using nothing more than a screwdriver and ratchet to unlock the plastic fasteners of the filter housing. These filters often cost $40+ apiece through a dealer or other aftermarket parts supplier. Having them changed by a dealer will easily end up costing over $100, which is completely unnecessary when the work can be done at home for a total cost of about $45 plus shipping. You can watch the entire installation process of one filter at [...]Resetting the microfilter service interval is all that is needed after you're done. That process is shown at on various YouTube videos if you search for BMW E60 service interval reset.Basically, all you need to do is1) Turn the ignition key to the first position and wait until the service reminder indicator goes out2) Press and HOLD the trip odometer button. After about 3 seconds, either a triangle with an exclamation mark in it or an oil service interval indicator will come on. In the process, your trip mileage will reset to 0. That can't be avoided.3) Now, press the odometer button to cycle through the indicators until you get to the microfilter reset indicator (the microfilter icon looks like a muffler with rows of dots in it and has a small fanblade icon above it on the left--see your iDrive service menu to see what it looks like).4) Press and hold the trip odometer reset button until the message "Reset?" is displayed.5) Continue to depress the trip odometer button until the mileage indicator for the microfilter resets (probably to 15,000).That's it. Turn the ignition off.Note that cycling through the various indicators and resetting the service intervals can also be done using the BC button on the turn indicator stalk, but you still need to access the service indicator menu from the trip odometer button.

Perfect fit, the exact same part BMW uses
Mann is the OEM supplier to BMW, even the numbers were the same.IMO worth the couple extra dollars vs. the copies.

Exactly like BMW OEM cabin filters
I bought my 2004 530i used and the previous owner had OEM cabin filters in them. When I removed them to replace with these Mann filters, everything printed on the old OEM cabin filters is exactly like these Mann filters - they are Mann manufactured and the part number is exactly the same. The only difference between the ones I bought here on Amazon and the OEM I replaced from the car is that there is a small BMW print on the side next to the part number in the OEM filter and that exact place left blank on these Mann ones on Amazon. They look and feel exactly the same and I would recommend even people who's never opened their car hood to replace these themselves. Search youtube on instructions on how to replace - took less than 7 mins for both on my car and requires no mechanical skills at all. Be sure to buy two - one for the passenger side and one for the driver side.

2006 BMW 530i
These filters look to be the same as OEM (the ones that I removed had MANN stamped on them) and the installation took me about 10 min including the reset of the mileage for the next set of filters. The dealershop quoted me $192 + tax!!! For what? They could be changed in the parking lot. This should be a free, "thank you" from any dealership. Especially after one has paid so much for a BMW. Is this any way to treat a customer after all of the money that has been spent on such a vehicle? We all need to start looking at YouTube and reading forums to do our own maintenance to force the dealership prices down. They would stop charging so much if they starting losing our business. As for the filters, their great. Get them and do your own 10 min install. Save $160!!!

It was so easy to replace both filters
It was so easy to replace both filters, It did not even take me 10 minutes to complete, including resetting the service interval on iDrive, and it was with reading the step by step guide came with the filter. I can't believe that independent BMW shop charges around $160 and a BMW dealership charges $250+ for this super simple job! I had never worked on my car before, not even replacing wiper blades by myself. I always had my dealership or the independent BMW shop do everything for me but this was such an easy job! If your microfilters need to be replaced, you should try DIY I could do it, you can do it, too! :-)

Took 5 minutes. Only found a couple things to comment on.
2004 BMW 530i. It is simply as easy as everyone here says. And yes, order 2.Some comments on some minor things: The dimensions currently stated on the spec section are wrong, closer to 12.5" x 6.75" (NOT 9") x 1.2". A minor thing, but 3 inches wider had me a little worried, but the picture didn't show that aspect ratio (it would have looked closer to square) so took the risk. Also worth noting that on the passenger side filter cover there is a hood closer sensor that has to be unplugged to remove for filter replacement. Not a big deal. Finally, went through the reset procedure mentioned in another review and it works fine, though mine reset to 70000 miles, which is more in line with my experience... this is not a 15k miles replace item.

Good quality product at a good price

Works well and no more oil smell
As in title, however there's also plastic housing cabin filters which probably seal better so just taking one star for the construction
