Not as large as a tho the product was not quite as largeught but definitely represented the movie
The product was not quite as large as I was thinking it would be but it still went just according to the one seen in the movie with the definition of the pages which were blank and could be written or drawn upon and overall I think it makes for a great Halloween item for decoration or for you to use in your personal life. I will be doing a little bit of both

Rustic and fun
I had expected to take notes for a particular topic of interest at work, creating a "grimoire" of sorts, but the rustic appearance of this journal really didn't lend an appropriateness to that topic, so I'm saving it to use for more personal journaling. The paper and cover has an old world feel that a high-end, mass-produced notebook just can't emulate. This is more ideal for something of a personal nature. I have opted to write secret letters to my husband in it and give it to him as gift for a future birthday.

Something awesome this way comes!
This is the perfect spooky journal for Halloween cosplay or the odd bit of journaling. The cover is super detailed and every bit as impressive in the real world as it is the product photos online. I loved the raised "veins" of leather around the resin eye. They're tactile and gnarly and so much fun!The antiqued clasp is solid and easily to engage or unlock. The handmade paper within is finely cut and fairly even, despite its aged color and deckled edges!I feel like you could write in here with pencil, ballpoint pen, or acrylic markers, but you may struggle with a calligraphy pen due to the pitting in the cotton surface. If you apply some gesso to the pages, its possible to paint on them with acrylic or oil paints! Special watercolor ground would make these pages ideal for gouache or regular watercolors. The price is good, the aesthetics are excellent and the quality is great! If you love spooky things, this would be a great little journal to add to your collection.5 stars.

This is a great journal
This journal is great and mostly movie accurate. The cover and paper are great quality and the clasp works wonderfully. I only have one question, where is the Necronomicon version?

Well Made
I know very little about book making but from what I can tell this is very well made. The leather seems to be of good quality and the page binding also appears to be of good quality. For what little I know about book making, I know even less about paper but I think it is good paper. The leather is thick enough that it can be lightly carved, engraved, and stained without risking damage allowing you personalize it in many ways. I do wish that it had more pages in it but that is the only drawback I have discovered with this journal.

Mess of a Description and Journal
I really had no idea what I was getting with this journal, the picture showed one journal, the title another, and the description matched two separate other journals. Was I getting a black embossed leather journal, one with deckled handmade paper (which was what I was hoping for) or the one badly shown in the photo.Sadly that is the one I ended up getting, I use these style journals for sketchbooks rather than writing, so the paper is not overly useful to me. Granted the paper is terrible, it is dirty, and not in a handmade paper kind of way, but in a dropped in the dirt manner. Flipping through I found a dead moth smashed between pages, all manner of debris and bits, torn and bent pages, and of course just actual dirt. The only good thing about this journal is the cover, it is made out of leather, it is filthy and smells like an old basement, but after cleaning it up I think it could be usable. Granted I would suggest just rebinding it with good paper, but not everyone has the time, skills, or desire to do that. So give this journal a skip.
