Deluxe Storm Trooper
Don't buy this if you don't like attention. Okay this was definitely worth the money. I have never had so much fun on Halloween than I did with this. Literally, I had people take pictures with me and was the object of attention at all the parties. I had people stop me everywhere I went and got asked tons of questions etc. as can be expected with such an eccentric costume. On the quality. This is actually not the EXACT replica. the exact replica is manufactured by a company, which I did not know beforehand, but this is so close you cannot tell the difference. The build quality is superb. I dropped the helmet and sitting in a car is not the most comfortable thing and this costume is made to last. As for the harness. That is also not the same one, but its good enough. It uses velcro and it works fine.Cons:The pictures show shoes, but these do no come with it. For the gun I bought that seperately and spray painted it--can't tell the difference. The velcro on one of the pieces was slighly out of place , but I just reattached it without doing anything, not a big deal. Conclusion:All in all I will reuse this costume every Halloween and it wil pay for itself through the years. It's very high quality however, if you want it to be comfortable as this is not a comfortable costume to wear at all--it will require some modding, which you can easily perform without making any noticeable alterations such as cutting pieces to fit your body(see google). The only difference between this and the one the company sells for the same price is that the back piece that goes over your "behind" is two pieces. This is one however, I almost prefer this. The helmet is the real deal i.e. the same Hollywood version. Overall this costume is the real deal and was totally worth all the attention and conversations I recieved, which was not expected. I've wanted this since I was a little kid.

you'll have to put a lot work into if you want to look spanking ;) but it's totally worth it if you do it.
Even though the product didn't fit me too well I'm 5 foot 9 guy and its recommended for people most likely like 6 foot so I knew it wasn't going to fit that well. But I had a great time making modifications to it. I do comic con and sakura con emerald city you all them conventions. So making cosplays is one of my hobbies so I spent like a good 2 weeks to a month making extreme modifications to it to my size. And damn what can I say it looks BADASS. So even if it doesn't fit that well you'll still have a great time and get LOTS OF PHOTOS TAKEN. Oh man you'll feel like hawt shiet for awhile ;p

Just don't.
If you're like me, you've been wanting Stormtrooper armor for a long time now. You don't want to pay a lot for a kit, because let's face it, $400+ is a little steep for all the work you're gonna have to do. Fully assembled kits are crazy expensive, near $1200. So that's out as well. And then, you stumbled upon Rubies. You've heard about the bad rep this armor gets and you read some of the complaints.Allow me to entirely confirm those problems.I got this thinking "hey, what a fun project. I can make this work."Incorrect.The armor is absolute hot garbage, and that isn't an exaggeration. I bought it two years ago, wore it twice and its been collecting dust in my basement ever since. I wish upon wish I had went to Etsy, or FISD for sale forums, or literally anywhere else for my first stormtrooper armor. THERE ARE BETTER, CHEAPER OPTIONS AVAILABLE. You just have to look. Second hand suits, partially finished kits, build commissions...anything.Its ungodly uncomfortable, the plastic is far too thick to work with, there's just too much to improve to make this look good. Just avoid it.I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE THINKING:"Nah, not me, this is a great deal why not? I can do this."Please don't make my mistake.

Great for a Vegas Party
Like W. Morgan I purchased the Supreme Storm trooper costume with a degree of trepidation. Living in Australia I need to purchase a costume for a fancy dress wedding in Las Vegas. I was arriving only a few days before the wedding and had limited opportunity to make any modifications as described by the other reviewers. To my pleasant surprise I found that little work was required to get the costume into operation. In fact I only started the modifications 90 min before I needed to be in the foyer of the hotel ready to be picked up for the wedding.I am 182cm (6foot). I believe the costume is designed for this height or a little taller since I had no problems with the length of the arms / legs. Whilst I might be the right height, I am a bit on the skinny side. My weight is 78kg (171 pounds) with very skinny legs and arms. To my horror the shin armour did not stay attached to my legs no matter how tight I fixed the Velcro. So instead of replacing the existing Velcro with industrial strength versions as per the other reviews (I pre-purchased 5" wide industrial strength in Australia before I departed) I was desperately rigging up a system that held the thigh plates to the shin plates. Luckily this only took about 30min to resolve with Velcro holding the two shin plates to the thigh plates. With an hour left I made a number of other modifications. This involved replacing the existing Velcro on the biceps plates and the shoulder plates. My changes were a bit rough and ready and I do plan to improve on the changes once I have the costume back in Australia. In terms of quality the armour itself is of good quality. Everyone at the wedding was very impressed with how genuine it looked and felt. One of the big challenges at an alcohol charged Vegas wedding was how I was going to go to the toilet. I decided to put on the black body suit with the zip at the front. This allowed better access. I was surprised to find that there wasn't too much difficulty going to the toilet. In terms of comfort the suit is fine for standing and walking, but trying to sit down is very difficult. It was a major challenge to squeeze into a limo to get to the wedding. The legs don't bend to a full 45 degrees making sitting very difficult. Potentially this could be resolved with a little more time. In the end I needed a lot of help getting in and out of the limo. Sitting down later in the evening at the wedding was uncomfortable as well.As mentioned by the other reviews the helmet is not great. It is very difficult to see out of and next to near impossible to hear out of as well. This is surprising since the quality of the armour is so good. I think if I was to use the costume on a more regular basis I would need to get a better helmet. I believe you can purchase versions that the stunt people wore during filming that have better lenses, etc.Overall for just over $500 it was a worthwhile purchase. My other option was to hire the costume which would have cost $350 anyway which is a rip off considering the purchase price. I have noticed that since buying it the price has gone back up again by around $100. This price is still reasonable however with some of the issues outlined above I would probably not recommend spending much more than $750.
