I was looking for a more budget friendly option and I think this is a good one. I will say I have to go bare skin on the mat or I didn’t feel anything. But with bare skin it looks like it gives similar results to the high end brands when I’m finished I have the little indents in my back and then a few minutes later it’s clear that the blood is flowing to the area as my back turned very red. It felt very good and relaxing. I’m still working up a tolerance to be on it for longer periods of time.

I don't know why people are getting this mat when they have no idea what acupuncture is and then complain about the spikes being sharp. The whole point of acupuncture is that the small plastic spikes stimulate targeted areas of the body, including acupressure points. If they spikes aren't sharp it wont work.This mat is a more of a upgraded version of your typical acupuncture mat. It comes with a nice carrying bag and it's made from coconut and linen. I'm not sure why there are no measurements in the description because that's something most people would like to know. The measurements are shown in the photos but that can be easily missed. The mat measures 77 cm long x 44 cm wide which is slightly longer then most mats on the market. One commentor said that the mat should be longer so it goes under the legs but the acupuncture points on the legs are on the inside of the legs so having a longer mat would not help. I really do feel that the mat has helped with pain in my back. As much as people say the points are sharp it's the points that are relieving the pressure. The mat really does relax you, there'e been a few times where I have almost fell asleep when lying on it.

I have to admit that when I saw this set after opening it, I was a little scared and even disappointed, when will I ever have the courage to use this?! It seems quite scary at first sight, but after getting familiar with it, I can really say that it is worth giving it a chance. I'm sorry that the seller doesn't post more pictures so that everyone can make a correct opinion and make the right decision to purchase or not. In the only picture posted, the set looks quite big, the mattress longer, but as you can see in the pictures, the pillow is very small, and the mattress only covers the back area. But I think the dimensions are very correct because the pillow must cover only the back of the head, otherwise if I turn my head the stings in the ears are quite strong, and the massage is mainly intended for the back, as far as the massage is concerned. Initially, I tried to lie down with a thin layer of clothes, but I didn't really feel anything and decided to undress, only naked I could really feel the sensations. Once all the weight of the body is spread over the surface of the mattress, everything becomes bearable and pleasant with sensations of light stings, tingling. Do not try to reposition yourself except by lifting and setting down again, not turning, crawling, because you risk scratching yourself. The material from which it is made is 100% natural-linen, you can see this, and what I like the most is the bag in which they come packed, when there's a sunny day, I go out into nature in the parks and where I feel that this is the place, I put my set down and lie on it for a few tens of minutes, I guarantee you, it's the most pleasant sensation I've ever experienced, the sky above, relaxation below, during a normal massage session you can see the floor through a hole in the massage table. I usually do a session of a few tens of minutes every night before going to bed, I love the feeling afterwards, I feel how all the muscles relax and my back works through the stinging session for a long time afterwards. I think I'll make a schedule for the morning as well, before starting the 12-hour shifts, because that's when I feel I need it the most. The price may seem a bit high at first glance, but honestly it pays off in time, I compare the usefulness of this set with the price of a massage session, in just 3 massage sessions it will pay for itself, so it's really worth giving it a try.
